  1. I’ve been here for years yall are late to my party
  2. The bands are now on the field! All that’s left is to announce results, which I will bring to you live as they occur.
  3. I didn’t know people browsed this forum that I used to go to school with scary
  4. I know it was supposed to be funny😐
  5. Who is this and how do you know my name???????????
  6. Chian Springs is crazy considering I just typed it and it autocorrected to China 😂 I dig the effort though lol
  7. My brother in Christ I literally just saw the cleanest show in finals and it came from Celina. The only reason I didn’t put them first is because PC both impressed me and made me cry, which is really hard to do.
  8. Ladies and gentlemen: I have a prediction. From first to tenth. 1. Panther Creek 2. Celina 3. Davenport 4. Sulphur Springs 5. China Spring 6. North Lamar 7. West Plains 8. Calallen 9. Gatesville 10. Canyon
  9. Tbh I’m rooting for PC at this point
  10. And that concludes our competition! All that’s left is to corral all 10 of these amazing bands into the Alamodome for Finals Retreat.
  11. Sulphur Springs - somebody’s kids are cute? Okay. Holy snot that’s an opener. I think there’s some clarity issues in the woodwinds. My instinct is to say that brass is creating the illusion of double tonguing in some spots with note changes. Stupid clean sixteenths either way. Fantastic woodwind ensemble sound. Love the Mackey. Awesome closer! An incredible performance from 4A State finalist Sulphur Springs HS!
  12. China Spring - I am of course biased. Dang good warmup. I don’t really know what to say about that. So I think I won’t say anything at all. Congratulations on a great season. An incredible performance from 4A finalist China Spring HS!
  13. Panther Creek - great preshow to set the mood. Soprano. Yes. Oh my god woodwinds. Oh my god brass. Oh my god everybody. Yeah Niagara Falls! Oh good lord the brass choir moment with those visuals has me choking up. What a ballad. Oh the closer is just fantastic. I said it last year and I was wrong, but I’ll say it again this year. You’ve just witnessed the State-winning performance. What an incredible performance from 4A State finalist Panther Creek HS!
  14. Davenport - tasty euph solo here. Great opening if not a little top-heavy. Good woodwind feature. Little fuzz in the trumpet double tonguing. Incredible brass choir sound during the flugel solo. Ah, the PR kick out. Man there’s some clarinets. Great woodwind ensemble sound. Wow, what an ending! An outstanding performance from 4A State finalist Davenport HS!
  15. Celina - oh crap that tuning note was tasty. This is undeniably a very talented ensemble. Woodwinds are cleeeeeean. So is brass. Great clarinet choir in the ballad. Solid stuff in Howl’s. Rimsky-Korsakov is going. Okay, there’s the sound you want at the end. An outstanding performance from 4A State finalist Celina HS!
  16. North Lamar - English horn? That’s certainly a choice. Good sound throughout. Oblivion is nice to hear again but of course not the absolute legendary Hebron arrangement. Malagueña for the win!
  17. Calallen - baller preshow. However, a little loud compared to the band itself. Clean woodwinds! Great ballad moment with the soprano sax who was previously on alto solo. Great Cadets tribute with the four sideline tenors! There’s something deeply disturbing about the huge TV with the eyes staring into my soul even after the last note has vanished. Which is exactly the point. Great performance from 4A State finalist Calallen HS!
  18. West Plains - like the rock throughout. Ayyy, Blue Shades! AAYYYYYYY CLARINET JUST DID THE ENTIRE SOLO!!! Great ensemble sound in the ballad. Great car sounds. Hi brass at the end! Great performance from 4A State finalist West Plains HS!
  19. Gatesville - it’s all about the jam with Gatesville. Drumset laying down beats during a PR reference. Even Benedictus is a jam. Then comes the Steven Bryant Bari sax. The ultimate jam. A great performance from 4A State finalist Gatesville HS!
  20. Canyon - ah, Lost It to Trying, my old friend. Just got done arranging it myself, and this one did not disappoint. The anglerfish is really cool as usual. Dancer in the Dark coming back too; nice homage(maybe unintentional?) to the Cadets. Lost it to Trying coming back again to end it. Great performance from 4A State finalist Canyon HS!
