yea i will agree the bands i see taking the last 3 spots at finals are waxahatchie, timber creek, and dripping springs

6a state finalists these are the bands i think will make finals and not the placements locks hebron flomo ctj reagan vandergrift vista coppell woodlands cedar ridge marcus (idk about them because of boa san antonio) possible finalists round rock(good at boa but idk about uil) waxahachie(most likely in finals but idk how they will place this year) keller(good at boa but uil might think differently) dripping springs(not the greatest at boa but they are really good at uil) westlake(could go either way they could make it in but they also could not so idk about westlake) timber creek(me personally i don’t think they will make finals just because there show is very much boa and not uil) on the outside of finals (all these groups aren’t the greatest as uil that i have seen) pearland cy-fair wylie duncanville me personally i think that the final 3 spots in finals will go to waxahatchie, dripping springs, and either keller,timber creek, or round rock.

i would also put westlake and dripping springs in the bubble

i am taking out cedar park cause they are 5a and keller and pearland

i think that the bubble is definitely bigger and that some groups that were in the bubble would move into finals

I think that it is because their staff have been there for such a long time that they know how to please the uil judges. also uil doesn’t have a general effect category which is usually what dripping springs is not always focused on and that’s what BOA mainly focus on.They are also very clean visually and musically and that is what uil judges are really looking for. That’s how they have been a state qualifier and finalist for many years in 2A, 4A, 5A, and hopefully 6A. I have a feeling that dripping springs will come back next year with something special and try for a more BOA style show.

there are many dark horses this competition that could take a spot in finals it’s crazy. from timber creek, dripping springs, keller, and LD bell. any of these groups could make it. me personally i feel like timber creek and maybe dripping springs can both make it into finals

um gonna guess that the high score will be 94.6 and 14th place will be 84.8

i know that anything could happen at state but these are my predictions of the finalist bands NOT THE PLACEMENTS hebron flomo vandy vista cedar ridge ctj reagan marcus dripping spring round rock waxahachie (idk how to spell it) woodlands westlake coppell bubble for finals pearland seven lakes ld bell lake travis cy-fair i could see all these groups making finals and the only placement prediction is hebron getting 1st

i think round rock will do well at the boa SA super regional but idk about them at state with uil judging. they probably could make finals at state i just don’t know how high they would place. i do enjoy their show but it does lean heavily towards the boa scoring system and not uil

me personally i feel like round rock won’t make it into finals or they will be near the bottom of finals this year from just looking at the area scores. also dripping springs beat them by a good bit in prelims at area so i could see drip pulling ahead of them and getting a spot in finals. but we will see on monday

this competition could really go anyway with the top 5 with all of the groups going. it will definitely be one of the most competitive area contests this year.

yea but uil judges can be pretty crazy so idk

i feel like maybe dripping springs could get a spot at state this year cause of UIL judges and that they usually do pretty well in uil

the schedule is out and i only see 24 band’s competing in prelims does that mean only 4 bands go to state or is it still 5 since 26 bands scored 1 at region

i am wondering why groups like bowie and dripping springs are in this area even though it’s a mostly san antonio and round rock area and not austin

this area is gonna be crazy with round rock, bowie, westwood, and dripping springs fighting for the last 2 spots for state.

yea we had that sickness hit us last week but we got most of the people that got sick back
