Hey guys, I'm trying to sell my Bach strad, but it's got a few problems. It was my marching horn, and no gloves during practice made the sweat eat away at the lacquer, so around the valves it has been worn away. It also has a possible bent valve/valve casing. it really doesnt move slow but if you push it down all the way it will stick at the very bottom, and is pretty hard to pull back up. like i've almost considered using pliers a few times. Any Ideas on what I should do? I'd like to do it myself if it's possible, cause straight music isn't too cheap or quick with their cleaning or repairs. FYI it is a model 43 Bach Strad with the "light weight" star on the bell. Thanks.

My mom got an email from the director's saying that Cedar Park had won the Sousa Award, witch is a national award that a band must be nominated for by a board member or something for the award. Apparently one of the judges from either area or region nominated us for it. Does anyone know for sure if we won it?

Oh I know. I totally agree with you too. I Can't express through a keyboard how incredibly angered I am over some of the judges decisions.

You guys gotta remember, that even though some of these bands did or didn't deserve to be in finals, It's not their fault at all. They put it out there, and it was up to the judges after that. Although I will join in on some disagreement on judge's scores and ratings.

Good luck to bowie at state, you guys definately could have done better, and i think you all know that. Your area performance was better than that one, so you have the potential to still do good at state. At least now you got a show in the dome before state.

I switched over summer band to euph from trumpet, and I like it a lot more. Was a pain in the **** the first few weeks to hold up compared to a trumpet.

Didnt one accidently start to take off her gaurd uni when she was supposed to take off band uniform? Some one told me about that, but i didnt see it. Our gaurd uniforms actually got turned a shade of peachy-pink at the cleaners

darn, I can't believe we drew second! Oh well, I guess it's just more motivation to be real good.
