I feel your pain, but if you are at a loss - check the GE scores - CP was consistently in the 20s from every judge. GE carries the most weight in BOA. IF this were UIL - perhaps CP would have been a finalist. Bowie had ordinals all over the place in prelims, as high as 6th and as low as 26th - so they have a stronger case to make in the "got robbed" category. At the end of the day - it is what it is and nobody died.

Nope - Cedar Park had the same panel as Westlake and Bell and was beaten by both. No only that - Westlake was also slated to perform at Waco - in fact BOA San Antonio prelims was their first BOA event all season - Cedar park performed at Austin and Dallas - so their goes that argument as well. I do agree that Bowie could have easily been included - just the way the numbers fall sometimes.

Marcus will be in finals. So far from Panel 1 - Reagan Hebron Leander Westlake Cedar Park Timber Creek Panel 2 - CTJ (probably, tho they haven't performed) The Woodlands Vista RIdge Flower Mound Vandegrift Bowie Marcus Prosper/Westwood/Cedar Ridge? IDK!!! Editing because Coppell and Haltom haven't gone....this is gonna be a tough finals to get into.

Ok Hebron.....WOW....that is the hardest show I have ever seen a high school band attempt. The difficulty of the brass and woodwind parts rival DCI groups like BD, SCV and Crown. an "endeavor" for sure! That being said, still very messy in spots, but soooo powerful in others. With only a few days left to clean, they may have bitten off a bit more than they can chew this season. There was also a lack of color in the show....black and white till the end and then reddish flags...idk seemed unfinished. Amazing band and obviously one of the best ever. Just might not be up there clean wise.

Top 6 - Reagan Woodlands Johnson Vista Ridge Hebron Flower Mound Could possibly take out one of those - Vandegrift Bowie Leander Keller

How was the Judging for Leander Wonky at Area? Seemed consistent for both prelims in finals.

I was at area H last weekened. To me, Westlake was comparable to Leander in every way. They have taken leaps and bounds in show design and excellence this year. I was not surprised to see them edge past leander in finals at area. This takes nothing away from Leander, they are fantastic season and have a great show, I would just say the same about westlake. Leander is a for sure finalist at BOA SA in my opinion, and a likely finalist for state, and I think Westlake could surprise some folks and be in the mix for both. Other area H thoughts - Vista Ridge is VERY strong but Vandegrifts show seems destined for UIL greatness. will be insteresting to see them head to head at BOa and state. Overall - I was very impressed with all of the finalist bands at area H. THis is one of the strongest areas in the state, just wish they had more bands so more could advance to state!
