Area d is advancing 6 . And area b is advancing 5

Maybe but ..... most bands in area b are uil based as area d are more boa based. Let take a look. I think atleast 12 or 13 bands in area b have the ability to advance to state . And yes they may be ranked . Difference is 1-10 in area b could go in any order when in area d . Has a certain amount of bands that we know will most likely made it. Area b is stacked from 1-13 while area d is stacked 1- like 7. Not saying area d isn’t harder . It’s just area b has way more groups that are uil based and have consistently made uil State finals for years . Aka duncanville , coppell, LD Bell, etc. really area b and d are very similar in competitiveness . I just like area b is more competitive due to nobody knows what will happen

Honestly you are right . Nothing is safe with this area and none of us really knows what is gonna happen until 10 something on Saturday. Like really as I think about it prediction can’t be made cause it’s so stacked . We really just gotta wait and see and watch and enjoy . Like it’s honestly real crazy and scary to think about

I agree . That’s why I based mine off of region 31 and football games and I haven’t see far schools like duncanville and stuff . So I don’t think really prediction can be made until after prelims Saturday

Sorry to burst your bubble but have you seen the depth of area b. And they are taking less bands then D . Let’s be honest area b is theirs the most competitive and hardest

They are but some people are honestly go off of what they’ve heard and not what they’ve seen. Only group I have seen recently on my list is Keller central and duncanville but I know they are always excellentAnd or biased . I personally just love listening and comparing and I like some production more than others . Doesn’t mean I’m right but I like to try

Okay so I’ve seen most of these groups now and I’ve watched some videos and I personally made new changes to my opinion on my prediction 1. Keller 2.Prosper 3. Haltom 4. Timber 5. Bell 6. Waxahachie 7. Coppell 8.duncanville 9. Central 10. Plano east

I’ve honestly realized tho is that no spot is safe and it could go anyway. Its now really performance based cause we know all of these finals groups can pull it out and take a spot but it’s gonna be who has the best performance. So with that being said I’m not going predict or say anything else until Saturday .

See I’m still relatively new to this forum and I have a passion for bands . I went to birdville high school way back when and I’ve always had a love for haltom a shows. With that being said I go into contest to watch all band and never have biased . I just like some sound and design more than others. With that being said this forum should have so much arguing . It’s people opinion. Let people hype up groups . I try to get feedback to all group just because it interests me a lot and I have fun doing it . But if you are gonna complain about people so much “hyping “ a program than there is no need for you to be on a forum where band parents , alumni and student like to give there opinions and show there love for there bands . No matter what my opinion is or yours it doesn’t matter and what matter is the judges on Saturday and you they think should advance . With that being said yes prediction are opinion and you should attack someone for liking a program more than another . I love giving my opinion and that’s why I joined but y’all needa chill

Richland - like the color scheme A lot of blue Brass sound great and I love the jazzy aspect of the show Great sounds during ballad Closer was definitely weaker throughout and I feel like once again I can tell where the rain has affected them . Great performance and I can’t wait to see them Saturday

If I were to rank each band 1. Haltom 2. Bell 3. Trinity 4. Coppell 5. Richland 6 Carroll My opinion each did great tho

Haltom - Clarinet solo was beautiful Opening hit wow Visually kinda scary . Duet with baritone I believe is amazing Improvement in this group is beyond insane . Beautiful tone . Some minor tempo things English horn solo was awesome in ballad The tone throughout the whole thing was so good Loved the show so much Definitely my favorite of the night ! Minor things to work on but I’m excited to see them saturday

Bell- Very beautiful color scheme I Remember when I first saw them this year I hated the bag pipes . Now I don’t mind it as much So many guard girls Very visually appealing Very beautiful movement one overall Alittle weird side to side tho Very pretty tone just wish it was more Those Mellos yesss! Cute movement 2 . Battery got ahead of the band and it was alottle off Remind me a lot of Marcus Pretty sound but nothing that really impressed me really Like I said you can really tell the rain affected these groups Guard is huge and I’m loving it Very fun and it’s fun to watch Love the beginning of the ballad so pretty Front stage is alittle loud when danced on Actually kind of enjoy the bagpipes now Not together at times I can’t take my eyes off the guard Nice final release during ballad Love that effect with the front ensemble and visuals Overall the best so far but still not incredible. Very cute and fun show . Great job bell !

Carroll - Really love these background props . So pretty Sticking with that green color . Go south lake Bright neon guard uniforms. Catches your eyes instantly Mics aren’t loud enough personally Not as strong as I was hoping But thing it’s great they used rich girls lol I can hear the guard counting Alittle messy Don’t see the point if the trampolines Guard work is really good I think the music selection is really cute and enjoyable Love that you can tell they are enjoying themselves Hocus Pocus music ???? Love it Ballad flags are beautiful wow!!! Not always together You can def see where the time lost from rain is coming into play with all groups so far Love that brassy sound . Spoooky !! That final hit was great Awesome job Carroll

Coppell- Not a fan of the platforms but general effect wise it’s nice Visually pleasing Weird instant start Love the visual work near the slide Love the music selection Love the brass sound Front ensemble is killing it Some timing issues front to back and side to side The ending of second movement was beautiful Front ensemble is killer Brass alittle messy I love the show but I mean it needs work and with all the rain I see why it isn’t cleaned as much Final hit is loud and beautiful Great job coppell . Impressed

Trinity - Love the panels in the front with matching guard uniforms very pretty! Loved intro with flute trio . Very well done Beautiful opening hit Beginning of second movement alittle timing issue but guard some is looking great Brass sound has improved so much throughout season #loving it I think mics may not be loud enough in front ensemble. Beginning of ballad flute solo alittle loud but beautiful Visually appealing throughout Good job trinity . Really enjoyed it only thing I can say is fourth movement was rough and lines are that good but other than that I liked it a lot

Just arrived here at region 31 and I’m ready for some great bands

I’m gonna do a commentary on region 31 6a band tonight ! Can’t wait to see what these group have been doing and the improvements!

Yes I was getting so mad omg ! But I ended up turning off the sound tbh and just watched it visually

4 or 5 unless no body else get a 2 then maybe 6 . If one more groups gets below a 1 the 5

Yeah I really couldn’t hear much. I just kinda watched the movement lol . But I mean I’m going Monday to watch region 31. To watch all those groups so I’ll see whats happening with everyone

Just found a video of haltom from the game last night on Facebook if your interested . If you look up haltom football broadcast on Facebook the band plays at 1 hour and 21 minutes . They have the football dad talking over a lot but it was still nice to watch and see how they are doing .
