yeah...it pretty much sucked... crossing the bridge with Allen's band yelling racial slurs at you after a terrific football team lost the game due to a field goal kick...due to their immaturity and bad sportsman-like conduct...a lot of our members (not just band members...also colorguard/lariettes/cheerleaders) we're severely hurt and very outraged by the behavior that was presented towards us... It had to have been the most WORST treatment by any band ever... to here things like "get the nigger band off the field" during a halftime performance is just one thing that shows how insecure people can be about other people's feelings and ethnicity. It jus gets to me because we didn't do or say anything to provoke them to verbally attack us and im personally embarassed for their band programs... I mean it's enough racism as it is...can we not include it in the band program...

same with me...majoring in electrical engineering...maybe minoring in some kinda musical studies...

speaking of passing out...my freshmen year...this girl "hyper-ventilated" so that she could get out of rehearsal...bad thing was was that an ambulance came... funny story now...this girl thru up during fundamentals and she didn't know what to do so she tried to put the vomit back in her mouth... ...good times...gooooood times...

i honestly believe that some instruments only fit certain personalities...you can't be a naturally weak person and be good at instruments like the tuba/bari sax...and u notice that it seems as if more girls tend to go for woodwind instruments and more guys for brass instruments...and certain personalities are attracted to each instruments... i dunno...it's jus something i picked up on. Just look around and u can kinda tell.

fat kids, lazy kids, slow kids, mean kids, ugly kids, sickly kids, boring kids...u gotta give them props, too.

are there any other bands besides Westfield/Spring that are very diverse?

oh my goodness... if they don't wanna tell then they just don't wanna tell...it's not gonna make you a better person just to know an inside joke...let them have fun wit their LMB thing...with the way yall are acting...I wouldn't tell you either. Especially talking down towards a band like that...let's grow up, please. It's only a phrase.

first in second band already...it would probably be more of a challenge anyways and you get looked at more than someone would if they was fourth chair in 1st band.

i wish i could say the same thing...there's nothing that we can get away with at Westfield...we are on complete lockdown. haha.

every band program has different types of kids...i just wanna know what do you think they are like in your own??? our program is VERY diverse...we got so many different types of kids but we are still common in our own way...it's very tight being with the kids in the Westfield program...it's always something fun(ny) going on... so share your knowledge...

don't be too dissapointed... Westfield's class of 08 will NEVER go to state and NEVER go to Grand Nationals...so BOA SA is as good as it gets...

does anybody have "The Heart of Solitude" (Westfield 06) BOA SA performance? i still haven't seen it and i go to the school...how sad...

I know there was a time during marching season that just made it worth it all for you. It made you feel like you going outside everyday sweating and hurting and everything was worth it. Have you ever had that feeling during marching season...i would consider that to be one of my best memories. We were at BOA Houston during retreat and after knowing that we got 3rd, we felt good. When they were calling captions and we heard that we got GE...that made my heart sing...i was like "wow...we actually won something". Then we ended up getting 2nd place by .5 and that felt GREAT! I think we was crunker than Ronald Reagan and they won. hahaha. I'm sure it's other things besides placements that might have had you feeling like band was the greatest. Share your experiences...

i like feeling like we are going to lose...then we come back outta nowhere and win...such a adrenaline rush for me...since it happens during playoffs all da time.

i dunno which one i want... i want them all...but im broke...so i could possibly get one...im looking towards the xbox 360 merely for the halo 3 and the xbox live...but god i would be missing out on the games on ps3... and this new style of gameplay that Wii has seems amazing...and it's only 250...one question though...does it play DVDs?
