Holy cow, Vista freaking Ridge. I finally watched a video of their show and I am so impressed. I would not be surprised at all if they came through and won this whole thing. That ballad is just glorious. My favorites, of the shows I’ve seen this year, to take medals (in no particular order): Vista Ridge Reagan Hebron Leander I’m sure CTJ and FloMo will be in there pushing for medals as well, I just don’t like their shows that much this year.

The top half of bands that make finals go in the last half of the performance slots during finals, and vice versa. The rule was put in place because Hebron performed near the end of semis in Grand Nats, won semis, then had to go first in finals, which ultimately negatively impacted their score. The following year (or it might’ve been last year, I can’t remember), BOA put in the so-called “Hebron rule.” EDIT: Of course someone beat me to it.

I don’t think it’s quirky, per say (last year definitely was, but I really enjoyed that show). I do agree that they look and sound good this year though! Also, your bias is definitely understandable. I have a bias towards a certain band because I’m apart of it (let’s just say I’m excited to do duke it out with Leander in San Antonio), but I can recognize awesome shows when I see them and Polarity is as awesome as any show I’ve seen!

Thank you! I had just happened to find a video of their show right before you responded and I figured out which one it is. Also, wow. I just have to say that I love Leander’s show more and more each time I watch it.

Just curious because I haven’t heard that part of Leander’s show yet, which Danzón are they doing? Because there’s like 4 or 5 by Marquez.

My band has 28 horns, with only five or six that didn't march this year-I can't really remember exactly how many didn't march, but it might've been more than six. One of our horns that did march marched trumpet because one of our trumpets quit halfway through the season. Obviously, I'm a clarinet, but I love the sound of the mello and French horn. It's by far my favorite brass instrument, and I'm planning on learning to play it so I can (possibly) do drum corps. Or I might do trumpet. But I'd prefer mello.
