Region 2 was held today, that was just a tentative schedule until it was held, 5 bands are advancing to state, 28 bands received first divisions, Denton, Ryan, and Braswell made second divisions.

This is really late but here’s my school’s (North Forney) show. BLACK WIDOW Mvt. 1- Lacrimosa from Requiem by Mozart Mvt. 2- Dies Irae from Requiem by Verdi Mvt. 3- Waltz from Jazz Suite No. 2 by Shostakovich Mvt. 4- Symphonie Fantastique V. Dream of a Witches Sabbath by Berlioz

Forney ISD is definitely having a great year. I’m in the North Forney band and we’re having a breakout year this year, including winning Grand Champions at a contest for the first time in the school’s history. We had an almost complete staff change last year and it’s definitely helped us grow as a program. Forney’s show this year is rather impressively designed and with the uniqueness of it I wouldn’t be surprised to see them competing at BOA within the next few years. Not to mention they have that really great soprano sax solo.

I’m really impressed with Rouse and Hutto this year, wouldn’t be surprised to see either of them at state.

If everyone else who received 1s last year receives a 1st division this year Area C will be taking 6 bands to state. If so I definitely see it being Waxahachie, Highland Park, Forney, North Forney, Poteet, and Red Oak that advance to state.
