If you look closely, you can see an image of God.

I think Fortisimo will just go past the porch and crap on Key Poulan himself.

SCV music finding its way to Marching Band
MartinHorn replied to QuadraticBeats's topic in General Off-Topic
our show was Harmonic Journey from Phantom Regiment. Except of course we had to rearrange it to include the instruments not included in drum corps. And we named it Soundscapes. -
North Texas Marching Contest

Maybe. I have to say when we saw Allen at NTBC they did have massive sound but their final chord dissapointed me. Is wasn't as massive as I expected but then again that was prelims. I'm sure it was better in finals. Also, while watching their show we saw them in prelims we saw one kid marching in a sling and no instrument. But I'm sure the judges saw that. -
Like the Revolution.

Maybe the Revolution next year. Hopefully I'll be good enough then. If only there was a drum corp based in North Texas.

Horray for stereotypes!

Just wondering, if you do, what winter parade do you march in? And what song do you play? We (Martin High School) are going to march in the Nieman Marcus Adolphus Children's Parade and playing Santa's Parade.

Well now I have to answer for my comment. I never intended it to look like Xenon was insulting the Martin Band, I was just pointing out what this quote said and what Xenon said here I wasn't saying that you were insulting the Martin band. The "slap in the face" was regarding Xenon's comment to Martinbandownsyou06's comment. THAT'S ALL. -

PAIN
MartinHorn replied to actualgirltrombone's topic in Everything Music: Marching, Concert, Auditions and more
What you don't know is that after freshman year they send to a lab and transform us in to Marching Machines. We have great ankle flex perfect shoulders and never get sunburned. Oh yeah and we don't feel pain. Or have emotions. -

Hardest show
MartinHorn replied to Ironriot's topic in Everything Music: Marching, Concert, Auditions and more
Yes it is tough. Some corrections for ya. The Phantom show had 4 movements (Canon in D, Wild Nights, The Lord's Prayer, and Ostinato) and we did play Ostinato we didn't play Piano Concerto(for strings) or Sketches on a Tudor Psalm. And while Ostinato was awesome and is the best, The Lord's Prayer is amazing too. -
I think these captions are for how well the drum majors direct their bands. Our drum majors do the same simple salute every year but its cool. Though I have a bit of a problem with drum majors that bring their colorguard captain on the field with them. Some of them just act ridiculous *cough* (Marcus colorguard with acting like a bird) *cough* (Fossil Ridge colorguard, you know why) *cough* so I think drum majors should leave the colorguard members in the stands. Although I like it short and sweet, a band with hats like the Cavs have, It looks pimp when the drum major runs his fingers along the rim. Just my opinion.

I saw Langham Creek for the first time this year at Duncanville. You guys had an amazing horn line and very good marching.

One of the best songs to play is Frankenstien. Though I have to admit, even though I hate the actual song "Soak up the Sun" has a fun horn part. Worst song to play March Grandioso next to Endless Love(we play it for the homecoming king and queen nominies at halftime), but we do not speak of such evil thing. side note: Jealous of Clarinot because they get to play Oye Como Va.
