any composers?
Fortisimo replied to bluebellbrass07's topic in Drill Writers, Arrangers, and Composers Corner
Actually, I just finished a piece last week that I'd started last November and left unfinished for nearly a year. It's called A Shattered Foundation, and you can listen to it here: http://www.ilike.com/artist/Joseph+Suttle It's the first track listed, enjoy! -

I am one, but I'm rarely on here, and since going to college have found myself quite busy. The result being that I very often start pieces, get drawn off track then never come back and finish them. It's kinda terrible, actually. -

I actually used Vienna for a phase, but was unsatisfied with the sounds to be honest. So far, EWSO has been the pinnacle of orchestral VST's I've found. Haha, well, the thing is that the sample size doesnt' really mean you have direct use of all those samples, they are all interwoven together in complex ways, based on pitch and velocity, vibrato, tremelo, different styles, all kinds of stuff. ANyways! What do you think of the music though? -

Yeh, just as a sequencer here. Got a new orchestra synth though, as you might've noticed. It's pretty legit... about 14 Gb worth of samples, haha. Unfortunately, even with 3 Gb of RAM, I hit the ceiling at one point on Kujo 1; wanted some smooth string arpeggios near the end, but had to change the course, cause I didn't have enough RAM to put in strings that aren't legato. A shame, really. But sometimes sacrifices must be made, no? -

Ah man, links expired. Es cool, I took a page out of some of the other guys on here and uplaoded the tracks to my old myspace, haha. I guess that thing isn't entirely worthless after all! Anywho, check em out. Kujo 1 and 2 mainly. http://www.myspace.com/fortisimoproductions -
Problem sets. Holy **** problem sets. Occassionally eat. If I'm lucky sleep. Pretty much just physics and engineering and math and various things like that.

Also another win at the SuperDome this past weekend- plus, it was a fun trip to boot. Who would guess our football team would actually not be awful this year?

Hey Zach, music's comingly along very nicely! You've definitely improved since I last heard your stuff- keep it up! Haven't listened to Adam's yet, but I will -
Hello all! I haven't really been around lately, but I just this past summer got a new comptuer, with a helluvah lot more power before, and so I've been back at it, writing stuff in my free time, so I thought I'd let ya'll have a listen to some of my newer stuff and see what you all think. Reviews/comments/criticisms are very much appreciated! Kujo 1 Kujo 2 These two are written to be soundtrackish pieces of music for a videya game that's kind of in development, although probably will never see the light of day. At least it'll have a soundtrack lovingly crafted for it when it dies before it's ever born, eh? haha, hope you enjoy!

Who wrote Nitro? Anyone got a recording?

Lmao, XXX is far more than a Vin Diesel movie, LOL!!!!!

This was my point. Because, let's face it, you go to World to see the best of the best. I mean, seeing a lot of the 'bottom of the top' corps do really well was nice, but to see the cream of the crop really come out with great shows is epic. (SCV got shafted- they wre fantastic).
-
Yeah, that was the impression I had gotten too. Of course, the fact that they didn't make it to finals greatly undercut their ability to please the largest crowd of the year (and according to the announcer, ever) which may've contributed to them being quite sore as they sat and watched other corps perform at finals.

I bet this image link breaks by the time the night's out. (oh, and yes it has been shopped indeed)

band bucks?
Fortisimo replied to bluebellbrass07's topic in TxBands Site Suggestions, Problems, and Questions
LOL, that doesn't sound feasible. -
I wanted Cadets to win, but figured BD would win. This years championship wasn't nearly as epic as last year's though. Ah well.
-
The scouts I know sure as heck care about placements.
-
Man, I feel sorry for the Madison Scouts. They had a lot of **** go on this season. (I had Cadets picked as winning this year too- the only part I really lke from BD's show was Space Chords, lol)

Ummmm, lemme see, I got this year: Economics: 3 Latin (Vergil): 4 Government: 4 English Literature: 4 Compi Sci AB: 5 Physics C: Mechanics: 5 Calculus BC: 5 (AB subscore 5) Lol, Ap scores. How about some real test scores that count? Like ACT, or PSAT? Ehhhh? Anyone think they got something going on there?
