Dang, this festival isn't playing around. Yes, it's not a big band event but several big name 4A's, 3A's and 2A's state finalists mixed in. Good job whoever put this together.

I don't really like to speculate unless I know for sure. I have not heard back from some of my friends. I know sometimes calendars change over the summer and issues happen during the year where schools might drop a contest then add a contest or get added at the last minute.

Yeah in the Company of Crows sounds like exactly what I thought. Would be a missed opportunity if they didn’t use blackbird or the firebird suite!

List seems pretty legit, having Little Elm at 4th over Rock Hill is a bit ambitious but it is definitely possible, I think they could be a dark horse for 25-26 season and I can see them passing over RH, very excited to see what they have to show for this year. Also now that you have Argyle as one of your Percussion options, i'm a bit curious to see their percussion so I'll have to watch. I think this will be one of the lists to look at before we start seeing some shows in the Fall, but I think that there will be a lot of action in the top 5 that you put down and this will be one of the DFW contests to go to this year.

State is going to be one of the best this year.... I'm still give CP a razor thin edge... I think Rouse is going to come for the top spot.... Wakeland ,Leander, are going to be fighting it out ... And I really do think Lone Star is going to be in the mix for top 4....... but it's still early.....

I'm excited to see what Lone Star has in store for this year, Rock Hill, McKinney, Little Elm, and Argyle will also be the bands to look out for this year. I think we could definitely see some new faces in this contest rise up, and that's what is exciting. Lots of Area J action in here as well could be a preview with 3 bands that could all be in contention this year. Excited to see how it goes! I'll post some new predictions in just a minute.
