Calling all tuba players

The Blue Stars drum and bugle corps (bluestars.org) is planning on having a very large tuba line this year (my guess would be about 14-16) and are looking for any talented tuba players to audition.

 

Camps are held in Indianapolis Indiana once a month with move ins starting in May.

So I've just heard word that we will be marching 18 tubas this year! (thats IF we can get enough talented players)

 

Come on, who wouldnt want to be a part of a tuba line that big

How large are the other sections going to be?

I believe there will be 24 trumpets but thats the only other number I know. I know we are marching at least 80 brass this year.

Wow. I wonder how many other corps are adding significantly to brass.

Assuming they can get that many, thatd be amazing. Thats the most 92 when star had 16, but they had trouble getting 12 last year

I wish we were marching that many. Visually though, you're gonna need 18 tin soldiers, or else cleanin' is gonna be a pain.
