ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 We are playing Molly on the Shore. Pasadena Memorial isn't marching BOA this year. =( we would have to march at 7AM, and that would be pointless: no audience except for parents, and we'd have to get to school at like 4AM. that afternoon, we're marching the Galena Park contest. instead, we're gonna go to some Woodlands marching contest Anyone know what this is?? Danpod Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 It could be this: http://www.twhsband.com/Boosters/Fundraise...P07/LSP2007.htm It seems to be very popular with bands around the Houston area and it has always been well run by The Woodlands High School boosters. Quote
ClarinetGlissandoInBlue Posted May 19, 2007 Author Posted May 19, 2007 thanks! do you also happen to know what bands attended last year? i've googled it and came up empty Quote
Danpod Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Here's the list of bands and recaps from last year's event: http://www.twhsband.com/Boosters/Fundraise...P2006_Recap.htm Quote
mbui Posted May 27, 2007 Posted May 27, 2007 Aside from from the major competitions such as BOA & UIL, the Lone Star Preview is one of the premier marching competitions in the state. The adjudication panel is first class and consists of judges from BOA, WGI, & DCI. Also, bands such as Ronald Reagan, Spring, Westfield, Brazoswood (just to name a few) have attended in the past. I went to this competition in 2002 as a spectator and had a great time. If you want, you can view past results at this page.... http://www.twhsband.com/Boosters/Fundraise...st%20Events.htm Quote
bossman Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 i agree...the Preview is hosted by "The Woodlands High School", and it's a class act. And the crowd is always F-U-N! Quote
