2025 Sound of Springtown Marching Showcase (Oct 11)

The Sound of Springtown Marching Showcase will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025.  This contest will feature area-style judging and will have a "Prelims" and "Finals" format.  We will also have a standstill Drumline and standstill Colorguard contest.   The contest will close after 20 entries, but we will keep a waitlist as needed.

Entry fees are $400.00 for the Marching Contest and $75.00 for each standstill contest.  You will receive a $50.00 discount if you choose to have your students participate in both standstill contests for a total fee of $500.00.

Considering V.R. Eaton won’t be returning this year, it’s safe to assume the top 5 will consist of China Spring, Arlington Heights, Brewer, and Creekview. (Not in any particular order)

Arlington Heights placed surprisingly high in a fairly tough Area F while Creekview and Brewer went neck and neck just a few spots below Arlington. China spring shouldn't find any trouble for 1st but this is only based off last year.

Now that Joshua AND *Timberview have Springtown on their schedule my top 5 looks like:

1. Arlington Heights

2.Joshua

3.China Springs

4.Timberview/Creekview

5.Timberview/Creekview

This is a much more 5A heavy year for the showcase. China Springs has been chasing that 1st spot for a few years, but it seems they'll just have to wait a little bit longer lol.

*Timberview also has the Birdville marching contest so it's likely they will only do prelims at birdville and try to hurry their way to Springtown to take part in the competition.

North Crowley will also be there. Expect them to place high at this comp. They had a down year last year with a weak show and was a major delay in music and drill. This year they are just on it and this show is like 10x better than last year.

 Skip to 1:36:25 for audio. It's only the back-end of their show that we can really judge musically, but the visuals and marching are actually pretty clean considering it's the first week of September.

Skip to 1:42:15. Very nice opener. A little behind in terms of how much drill they can march, but this was also over a week ago.

After this past Saturday, Brewer won 1st (5A) , Alvarado 2nd (A), and Castleberry 3rd (4A)

Oh yes, I have Castleberry placing in the top three with them have the best guard and aux. Grandview will place like 6-7.
