Personally i think they should bring judges from other areas in to judge area competition.  Not just for this area but all.  that keeps any kinda bias out of the picture.

Now that im looking is there a penalty for bands that wear capes to cover there marching? I see that mount pleasant has capes or jackets that make it impossible to see there marching while there backfield…

Have you seen their show? They march backfield for like 5 sets and foot timing is definitely visible the entire time. Can we stop finding inconsequential non problems and have some smart thoughts. Plus Forney 2022 had full wrap around dresses and no one seems to recall.

mount pleasant has worn hip capes in all of their shows for the past few years, and this has never been an issue

also not to seem rude but it feels like youre just trying to find reasons to hate on mp at this point...
i think all of the bands in this area have been putting lots of effort to make their shows the best they can possibly be, and honestly the top 5 could be anyone's game (between nm, poteet, wm, lc, and mp)
at the end of the day this forum is just opinions, and thats all they are, opinions
opinions only hold so much value, and no matter what you or i think, we'll have to wait until november 1 and see what the judges think

first yall say they only march up front "no drill", then yall say oh no but the capes tooo and their backfield.. dude yall are seriously reaching forney 2022 had capes if not even longer and no judge complained about that.....

1. Poteet

2-4. North mesquite/Kaufman/Lc

5. Mount pleasant (I enjoy their show, but obv there still needs cleaning)

6. West Mesquite

10. Marshall or Tx High

I think the 3rd spot could be interchangeable. But as of now, yeah Poteet at 4th. From what I’ve seen, West is not playing around.
