I know Boyd isnt doing all or most of their closer at Wylie so Im hesitant to say they will beat Sachse purely just with show length, although the last recording of Sachse I saw they were still pretty dirty since its early. I think if cleanliness is the decider, Boyd will win, but if content is the decider and cleanliness for Sachse is close enough, Sachse will take the win.

I also think Sachse as a whole is more “effective”. Boyd once they have the whole show will be pretty even with Sachse but for the sake of this competition, Sachse is a more generally effective show, which will again come down to what the judges are prioritizing.

We have the official schedule!!

Something to keep an eye on - I noticed on Princeton's calendar that they originally indicated that it would only be a morning performance, however they have since removed that part of the event title. Makes me wonder if they will indeed do a finals run here. That would be awesome if so!

Here are my final predictions two days out! Really excited for this one!

1. McKinney Boyd
2. Sachse

3. J.J. Pearce
4. Reedy
5. Lake Highlands
6. Birdville
7. Plano Senior
8. Princeton (if they do finals)
9. Lovejoy
10. Independence
11. North Garland

12. Naaman Forest

Sachse is a little dirtier than usual this early on, but they also have A LOT more drill this year - maybe they had a better run tonight (couldn't watch because GISD got copyrighted :(). Right now, I think Boyd is slightly better, but when Sachse is clean, they are haaard to beat.

Yeah I was hoping to see sachse’s part 4 after finding out their show wasn’t finished but I think their last music selection they have in part 4 is true colors

Saw the Pearce vs Lake Highlands game tonight!

Lake Highland’s was honestly pretty boring and a little messy, not the level I would expect them to be at.

Pearce was pretty nice, I very much enjoyed it. Small things to clean by Saturday, but they’re not distant from Sachse and Boyd.

sachse's run was also a bit dirty in the game yesterday, 2nd movement especially... everything else was pretty okay

all of these were insanely uncharacteristic even while looking at their earlier runs

McKinney Boyd has had MASSIVE sound production improvement compared to previous years. their sound production and clarity is first place material at WMI. this could be an interesting season. they can only go up from here.

theres some dirty drill and choreo obviously, but for this early season its looking good for boyd

yeah there was a couple of timing problems because we where missing a drum major and the choreo was learned the day before the performance but everything should be fine for tomorrows performance a wmi

Boyd sounded rlly good. I feel like sachse and Reedy could place high like last year. I heard reedy at showcase and they are underrated

I wonder if they aligned the judging to be the new UIL sheet (WW Brass Percussion for music), if so Im excited to see how it plays out here since the old sheet was pretty vague
