Double header, Dawson and Shadow Creek Tonight

It looks like almost every band in this area stepped it up another notch this year. 
 

Gotta watch out for Elkins tho they might win it all

Once again no hate towards Dawson but I still am less than impressed, so much dirt. 
Shadow Creek however, surprised me. They had a great show and i’m looking forward to their run at BOA Conroe tomorrow. This might be the first year they sneak into the top 12!

Shadow Creek: surprised at how loud they sounded and the difficulty of their drill. They almost never stop to rest. Could make finals for BOA today and if they do could be a sign of things to come. They DEFINITELY have more potential this year.

 

Dawson: I actually LIKE how they have harder drill this year. They’re not taking the easy way out and I like it. It’s not super clean right now but we still got basically a month till area where they’ll figure it out.

These are honestly some really interesting results. I feel like they're a good starting point as to where these bands are as of now, but once all the shows are cleaned up, we could end up yielding some WILDLY different results at area. It's also important to note that shadow creek also performed at alvin invitational within the same day, which are INSANELY far from each other, so it's likely that they were extremely tired and performed worse for both performances they gave yesterday.

according to their schedule posted they went, but i wasn’t there to see them actually perform, so i wouldn’t know for sure.

HOW did clement's wins Alvin? we're the judges biased or what? i don't belive that clement's beat PM. what even happened?

Coming from someone who seen them preform at finals, just so unbelievably clean I was honestly not surprised once they won. On the other hand I loved PM show but there was some moments where visuals are dirty and some musical moments, but in the end I definitely believed Clements deserved to win.

At BOA Conroe it seemed like other bands from our Area were pushing for something clean to put onto the field as to why some of them did't preform their entire show. However I noticed that Shadow Creek had pushed to put as much as they could which had affected how clean their show was. They also have way more moving sets than other schools which makes it impressive that they were able to put most of their closer on the field. I think they'll have plenty of time to clean so I wouldn't really rely on their BOA scores to compare to their future Area placement.

i totally agree with this with still have weeks till uil and then area we dont know the strategies these bands have to clean their show, we’ll just have to wait and see!

George Ranch scored very well at the Alvin isd invitational do we think they have a chance this year at making finals for area? They are a great program but once they get to area I feel they drop in placement but I love their show this year the props were very cool. Hope they do well this season.

clements definitely deserved the win at this point in the season, but i wouldnt be surprised if they surpassed clements at some point this season. they have a LOT of visual elements and it’s hard to clean all that visual stuff at this point in season

I don't know if pm is going to pass Clements this year. Clements being this clean this early in the season is scary seeing both bands at contest. This is of course assuming that Clements keeps getting cleaner throughout the season.

the thing is clements show seems relatively unfinished choreo wise, meaning theyll probably have to add more visuals throughout their season. meanwhile, pm seems to be just about done visually. all i think that’s left for them is cleaning, and if they can clean a lot from where they are right now, i can definitely see them in the run this year. its the same thing as i said with dawson, they definitely have some dirt visually and musically, but they seem to be on a really good track in terms of how much they have on the field

No Pasadena memorial always starts like this they always get beat in the beginning but they always past everyone at area which they been doing for the past 2 years

I hope they make area finals too show was amazing but there one of those bands who do really good early season and then fall of at the end but this year might change
