tubapop Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 Alright, time for me to show my cards. I'm just predicting state advancers and their area finals ranking. 1. Bridgeland or Seven Lakes (BL has a really BOA style show, 7L is more UIL style, it's a tossup, but I give BL the edge as visual is off the charts) 3. Jordan 4. Cy-Fair 5. Cinco ChristopherRoden 1 Quote

But if everything just goes above average i think state spot for them is guaranteed considering they will get backed up by the amazing color guard and brass features and how cool their show is Tompkins: I think that visually some parts are very inconsistent through out the color guard which gave them the 9th place in KMF though it was significantly better than last year. I may not understand percussion but what I do think is that the percussion I think will carry them through out their show and I think the best in katy isd. For them to make state i think its just many things have to fall in the right places and maybe with a little luck, cause this show is built for UIL Quote

Popular Post bassboneman Posted October 23, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2025 Ok, Here is my attempt at a unbiased prediction. 1st- Bridgeland- Winning obv I don't know why you would think otherwise. Clean, hard book, and dam. 2nd- Cy-woods- Havn't seen them in a min, but they are normally really clean and sound good. Could go lower. 3rd- 7L- Good but I personally don't think it was as good as last year. I think its going to be clean and good I could see them higher. 4th - Jordan- Best show I have seen from them, Made 8th at BOA San Marcos, won KMF, and won GCMC beating clear brook. They have to be a bit cleaner visually but I think they have it in them. 5th- Cinco - Not as clean as some but they fit in nicely here 6th- Cy-fair- A bit to much park and bark for me and rarely do they march. I think they are going to get killed by a visual judge. (might be a hot take) 7th - Tomkins - They are good and I love what they do I just don't see them in the picture as much as I do other bands. Please prove me wrong like in 2022 when y'all got 3rd. 8th - JET - in my thoughts they are really clean visually but there music isn't clean (last I saw them) nor is it hard. 9th- Langham- I like where there going and will be looking to seeing them in finals. 10th- Cy- springs I honestly think 8-10th could go anyway but I like what springs is doing and think they fit in nice. first out- katy- I'm just not a fan. IDK why, ii just don't see them making finals. These are just my thoughts don't hate me. Any performer should NOT pay attention to these. Placements don't matter at the end of the day. What matters is that you go out there and leave everything on the field. You do the best that you can do and prove me wrong. CoolKid1010, tubapop and AWF2014 3 Quote

CoolKid1010 Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 Im just gonna share my predictions just because (1-3) Bridgeland: I really like their show design and their visuals (1-3) 7L: Their musical performance just blows my mind (1-4) Cy Fair: I can't really say much but I can see them building off of Gravity (3-6) Jordan: I really enjoy their musical aspect, especially their solos, and their visuals, but I don't see them placing higher than the 3 schools above them (3-6) Cinco Ranch: I find the drill really interesting and intriguing, and their soloists sound really good (3-6) Cy Woods: I haven't heard much about this school, but I'm assuming they're built off of their show from last year (4-9) JET: I also haven't watched this show, but I've heard that this band is on the uprising and I can see them going far (4-10) Tompkins: This show is musically strong, and their reporitore is very intriguing to me as well (6-10) Cy Ranch: I love the visuals and the music content of this program (7-10) Langham: Their soloists are very strong musically and I like the instrumentation, it is very much more different than their past shows. I can see them making finals if they lock in on their visuals. I'm just predicting and I hope nobody takes this to heart, I'm glad they moved Area to Monday and I can't wait to see everyone perform Quote

Success in marching is strongly tied to show design. Even highly capable groups will struggle with a poor design. Cy Woods' design this year doesn't appeal to me as much as past years. You could say the same about Bridgeland's show design this year, but it has elements that can set it apart. Jordan has a great show, 7L has a great show. Cinco, maybe it's wishful thinking - we'll see. AWF2014, ChristopherRoden and TrumpetDad2027 3 Quote

In prelims at Waco, JET tied with L.D. Bell and Westlake and scored over Bowie in visual performance. In finals at Waco, JET scored over Westlake and Westwood in music performance. A combination of these runs at a UIL performance could seriously turn some heads, especially one as unpredictable as Area I. Trombone_lover17, TrumpetDad2027 and bassboneman 3 Quote

Popular Post ChristopherRoden Posted October 23, 2025 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2025 Basing predictions for this contest on previous results seems rather futile because you can point to any combination of previous results to justify which 5 groups go to state. EX: -Cy fair won BOA north houston over bridgeland so they should be above them -Cy woods beat Cinco and JET at boa north houston so they should be above them -7L beat Cy woods who beat cy fair at boa south houston and jordan beat 7L at KMF so Jordan should be above all of them -JET was behind Jordan, 7L, Cinco at KMF so they'll be behind them just about any of these results you can pull up a contradicting result from somewhere else to discredit TrumpetDad2027, AWF2014, tay_3den and 3 others 6 Quote
