A Darkhorse for Area Finals quite definitely! Travis seems to have dedicated alot to their program this year, and ik they made BOA finals but I feel with the competition present there, they could have done it with the same schools if it was any other year, but still amazing job.

I did look over the battle of the berry results, when it happened, and it did really get me thinking about Travis, Travis usually being a bubble band, getting 11th in 2022 and about around 14th in 2018 2021, and 2023. So they've always been there, and they could break through this year. 

BUT one thing that might hold Travis back is the drawing time, and being the first to perform on the field, so Travis really has to lay it all down.

A lot of bands can make a case for a finals spot. The range from 8 to 15 has many strong bands that can make it interesting. Those last final spots will be a dogfight.

I totally agree, compared to their 2022 show I feel that their 2023 one was executed at a higher level and that the program seemed to have improved a lot. That was also the year where their Mr. Smith left them and returned to SCV, which may explain a drop in placement.

However, overall my viewpoint is that performing first at Area 2023 really hindered their scoring and this year they are being followed by Foster, who is a strong contender for finals. I'm hoping to see them break through this year, it would really add more to the "anything can happen in area e" viewpoint!

It all depends if the judging is consistent, next Saturday.

(It usually never is) unfortunately we will see bands that get a like a 8 from one judge and like a 17 from another, but hopefully bands will get scored with no outrageous gaps

Yea that unfortunate nature of all it takes is one judge just seeing a completely different things then every other. Sadly there always is one who is like that at every area tbh.

I know for a fact, once this area is over with.

There's gonna be some upsets after announcements prelims and finals. 

Because there a lot of people looking good out there.
