Also good job for Pasadena Memorial, they are improving their harsh sound to sound better. I can really hear a lot of the low voices now in the opening hit that weren't heard before,

Earlier this season I was hesitant to put Foster and Fulshear in finals, but from what we have seen so far I think that they're definitely going to shake things up at Area finals. It's crazy to see how much this area has grow. Even comparing this area to what is was just 2 to 3 years ago, there has been so much growth from all of the programs. I think we'll all be in for a surprise at what bands make finals and also how finals turns out.

How's Clear Springs doing this year? They were one of those bubble bands last year, and gave a great performance, haven't heard much talk about them.

I'd say that as a whole this season I feel like foster is in a spot to do better than many bands at area, and would not be surprised if they beat clear brook. For Fulshear I just really like their music this year and I think it could give them points but I don't see them placing much higher than 10th.

It's a very big day today! Let's see if the rest of the 20 can make it happen. 

Bands to watch closely are: Hightower, Bush, South Houston, and Goose Creek Memorial.

Though, I know Goose Creek is having a good season along with Bush, and South Houston. 

I am conflicted on if Hightower can make it happen, but best of luck!! It would be great to see it happen.

Bands are looking and sounding good today at UIL region 13 contest. So much improvement sound wise for many groups since mid season. The competition and the level of how close groups in 6A region 13 has really stepped up lol. The bubble groups and bottom half of top ten or 12 depending if 30 bands make it is gonna be a bloodbath. Visuals and marching cleanliness is gonna be a big factor at Area.

With Pearland practically guaranteed one of the state slots, that leaves the rest of the bands in Area E battling it out like the Hunger Games for the remaining four slots. A sad fact is that some excellent shows will be left at home after November 2 due to the quota.  May the odds be ever in your favor!

Finals performance order will be determined by a top 5/bottom 5 split based off of prelims results.

5 bands will advance to the UIL State Marching Contest.
