Date: November 2,2024 Location: Berry Center CFISD - Cypress, TX (Confirmed) The UIL Area contest is less than ONE months away! This year, it's expected to be one of the most competitive areas in Houston. Will there be four state spots after three high schools moved down to 5A? Can Jordan overtake Seven Lakes or secure their first state spot? Will we see a repeat of last year's top 4? This area might be unpredictable! UIL Region 23 Katy Mayde Creek James E. Just wanted to start some early predictions. These will change of course as more bands join. 1: Ronald Reagan HS 2: Vandegrift HS 3: Hendrickson HS 4: Westwood HS 5: Pflugerville HS Thats about as far as I would like to go, as I haven't seen shows from any of the other currently competing bands. Another thing to keep in mind however is that Cedar Ridge HS will be performing in exhibition (according to TMC website) and if they were to perform in competition, they would likely have a close bout with Hendrickson for that 3rd place finish. Reagan and Vandegrift also seem like they could be switched as well, but based on what I saw personally last year, Reagan comes out hitting hard at the start of the season. We shall soon see!
