  1. The rules say that at least 2 bands from each area must go to state, since there will be at least 2, the zoning goes by normal procedures of 1 band per every 5. Last year in 6A East Zone only Keller got to advance because of this.
  2. Yeah both of those are friendly rivalries. Within the years since Hendrickson opened, those two bands have really pushed us to where we are today. There is not a single part of my body that wants Dripping or Connally to ever do bad; it just seems like in the course of our history, we might beat one at one competition and then they beat us the next week (or even within prelims and finals at a contest). I congratulate both of them on their ones yesterday and wish them the best of luck at area next week! Are there really heated, hateful rivalries in band? Obviously its not like the Steelers and Ravens rivalry, so what happens? I truthfully have never heard of that before...
  3. For Hendrickson it's Connally and Dripping Springs
  4. Truthfully it wasn't too bad, I don't know if I was just too into the performance, but until my sister told me and I heard it while we were watching other bands, I didn't even notice! Not having water sort of hurt though. And does anyone have a full finals recap? I heard that we won Aux in finals.
  5. Im going to have to go with area D 4A as a whole, with the addition of Cedar Park, Conally, and Vista Ridge and the already strong programs like Hendrickson, Dripping Springs, and Hays and the rising power of Vandegrift this area could have 5-6 bands in finals if not the top 5-6 bands at next years state. I just hope they can get enough at regionals to be able to send 5,6, or even 7 bands to state. But for just bands I would have to say Vandegrift, Hendrickson, and Dripping Springs are all rising or at least they havent peaked yet.
