  1. You should not brag on your own band like that. Some people have respect for that band and by you saying things like that people will believe that your band is completely arrogant and rude. That was uncalled for. And you shouldn't badmouth other bands either.
  2. Thank you. Besides the slow marching in Floatation, are there any other specific areas you might recall that require more cleaning?
  3. I guess a student- maybe myself if i could get my voice deep enough - could speak the parts, although it would not be as effective to the show because in the prerecorded dialogues there is panning, echoes, and distortion (I think a lot of people might have thought of that as a techincal problem) which could obviously not be done while the student is speaking. This will deffinitely be an issue. By the way, what did you think of the fact that we were one of the only bands that did some slow-marching?
  4. Never mind then. I should have read the rules first. I guess that we will be taking out our dialogue (which i don't understand how our show will work because everything is prerecorded if it has to do with electronics). Because this is my job to control these things I will talk to Mr. Glenn Fugett, our director, to see what will happen at UIL.
  5. Legacy is going to Duncanville Marching Invitationals on November 1st, where we can again use our prerecorded dialogues (the backwards dialogue is not the only prerecorded; it is everything said). I'm pretty sure that this will be our last competition.
  6. Thanks. The show actually keeps adding dialogue as we produce, so really I'm just as excited as you are! We just added the part that says "we have assumed control!!" a few days ago. There might be more coming our way and there might not be.
  7. Go to www.txblive.com because I think he might have the results for before and after finals.
  8. The legacy dialouge that you interpreted was said at BOA Arlington. If you want to have some real fun interpreting the dialogue then come to all of our performances because they're all going to be different! You did get correct the part about Scott McCormic (to tell you the truth that's all I know as well!), because he was one of the judges at that contest. At Birdville the dialogue was changed to direct towards a judge from that particular contest, and because Dan Potter could not announce the contest, it was recorded by the announcer, John Pallard. I am not for sure on what it said exactly so I can't tell you. At the next contest (UIL) we hope to have a different backwards dialogue too! Btw the woman said "Backwards".
  9. I was very impressed with Hebron's performance. The music was very nicely put together and the marching was exceptional. I did see a few people out of step and a few interval problems, but that will always happen with any band; there is no such thing as a perfect performance! I would be proud to be a member of the Hebron band and I wish the best of luck to them for future contests.
