Be careful... People in general will always try to find fault with the winner of a contest, especially if it's a band like Poteet who wins a whole lot. I remember being at the 2003 State Marching Contest when they didn't even make finals (and everybody thought they would); every band they walked by jeered and yelled at them; I felt really sorry for them. Then, I distinctly remember them sitting in the stands during finals fervently applauding one of those bands that was not nearly so kind to them earlier. I was probably too young to get it then, but looking back on it, that was really awesome. I'm not saying they didn't do what you say they did; just be sure that you aren't being a sore loser and trying to discredit the winner of a contest.

I sure wish Marcus HS was going: it would be very intriguing to see how they'd fare against the big bands from the Midwest.

Well, generally: A = (N + 5B) * L A is applause loudness L is how loud the band was N is the number of people in the audience total B is number of parents from that band in the audience I know that's pretty cynical, but it is amazingly true sometimes.

Definately not Brazoswood. If there is a battle at all it'll probably be between L.D. Bell and Marcus. My money's on Marcus.
