  1. you've just said everything that i wish i could have put into the correct words. i am jealous of your.... wordyness?
  2. i dont know many indy bands but ive heard that they have a good handful that good give any good tx band a run for their money. okla bands -- theres only like 2 or 3 that can hang in there with our bands like marcus and bell. isnt there also a few great cali bands tho? are any of them going to be attending gn?
  3. i know this is a very stacked areabut what ever happened to reagon? they kind of fell a little in the past few years. they used to be at the top of everything right up there by bell? dont get me wrong im not saying they are bad by any means just not what they used to be
  4. its always interesting to see how bands with similar talent line up againts eachother
  5. i heard trinity did it bc one of thier judges tapes got messed up and thier new director demanded they go again to get judge feed back
  6. ha haha get it. with the elements captain planet. ha ha. omg sorry that was funny to me
  7. i dont remember exactly and but it must have been close
  8. from where your pictures were taken... you had to have been like 5 seats down from me
  9. i think maybe the bell gaurd was already irritated before the top two bands were announced. from what i saw during retreat the marcus gaurd seemed to irritate them every time they moved around. i was sitting right in front of them. it could feel the tension coming off of the field. if marcus and bell both went to gn in the same year i think i would have to pull money out of my savings to go. that would be a very intense showing. especially if they had been up against eachother in the other compititions that year like they have been doing for the past few years. that would be a really long car ride and a lot of gas i would be willing to pay for.
  10. more outgoing than regular people. On rainy days they like too....
  11. i had an extremely amazing weekend EVERY band did reall really well. it was really cool getting to see all of the bands. i must say, coming into this weekend it did expect marcus to win but not by so much. but after seeing the shows in finals back to back i can see why they did. but i really did expect it to be with in a point. besides that the only thing that surprised me the most was that coppell wasnt in finals. i didnt get to see their prelims show but did they just fall apart or something? what happened with them?
  12. now the qestion is... do i want to leave at 4 in the morning or go the night before?
  13. they should that would make alot more since. and be very helpful for people like us that want to know things are for
  14. i dont think that it was origanlly meant to be played well. they just made it to get clarinet players really frustrated
  15. i didnt say they were the best thing ever... i tried to look more at the positive things they had. i dont really like to put other bands down
  16. arlington was amazing princton was that the name? anyways they did alot better than i expected. they had a really cool idea. they seem like the kind of band that just needs to be pushed a little more by thier staff an then they would be really good. i still think hebron should have been in finals. thats one of the best ive seen them perfrom. they had the whole crowd going too. i thought they were really good. richland was really good. they've always been good but the past few years they seemed like they were in kind of a slump not a really bad one just not themselves and last night they had it back coppell did really well. they seem like they have cleaned alot of stuff up. and i loved the gaurds outfits. westfield was also another good one. they catch your attention from the very beginning with the lone soloist and field entry. my only problem with this show is that it kept the same mood the whole time. but they played very well l d bell-- wow... they were really good. their gaurd pulled me away from the rest of the show though. they looked like they were stuck in pillowcases. it was wierd. they always have the strangest things in their shows. but they always seem to do a good job with it all. and once again their marching was outstanding. marcus i was in a type of trance the whole time. the flute and oboe soloists sounded amazing. their marching has improved so much from last year. they still play better than anything plus some more. i had the joy of listening to them after retreat they all got in arcs and played the music. it sounded even better than when they were marching. it gave me goose bumps. during the show i felt so sorry for the lady bug tho. he was being chased everywhere. i loved everything about the arlington performences. they were all so good!
  17. i hadnt even opened this topic yet and the first band that i thought of when i read the title was hebron. man i cant even say anything else about them bc if i start it would take so long to type all of it. yes they still have their faults but they are coming up and im excited for them.
