    Super quick question, knowing the weather circumstances as of right now if area gets pushed till Monday will it only be a prelims run and no finals or both?

    My finals predictions (just my take since I haven’t done one and area is next week lol and after attending region 19 uil performance) 1. Pearland/Dawson (I absolutely love both shows just a tough decision 💔) 2. Pearland/Dawson 3. Dickinson 4. Clear Brook/SFA 5. Clear Brook/SFA 6. Clear Lake (Could honestly switch for either 4 or 5 depending on their run!) 7. Foster (absolutely love the soprano sax solo) 8. Clements (haven’t seen a recent run from them since Alvin comp) 9. Pasadena memorial/George Ranch/Deer Park 10. Pasadena memorial/George Ranch/Deer Park Bubble - Fulshear, Shadow Creek, Travis, Clear Falls (these are just my rankings please don’t be offended and are based off videos I’ve seen most recently so if a band is ranked really low that’s because I haven’t seen a recent run from them.) (Also a comment, two dark horses here imo George Ranch and Deer park. I feel if George ranch has a really good run they could scratch finals and after attending Region 19 uil Deer park has probably been under looked for a while for this year and could possibly reach finals or either miss it by a place or two.) Controversial statement - I feel the hype with PM is dying off and might not reach finals this year, because there was a comment in this forum not to long ago saying how we really don’t what section to pay attention to in certain parts of the show and I totally agree with it. It’s sort of all over the place and could clean it up. if you have any comments lmk!

    This is probably a really good accurate prediction for this week atleast that i agree with, but videos I haven’t seen from bands preformances are Clear Lake, Elkins, Fulshear, and George Ranch. Does anyone know where some are posted to get a view of these bands? (idk abt Elkins at 6th unless they’re really goated this year, but If not I would move all bands from 6th and below up one and 12th would either be deer park or shadow creek.) also I would move up Clements and lower clear lake definitely also with pm.

    10/4 contest BOA South Houston- 1st - Pearland 4th - Dawson 7th - Foster 9th - SFA 10th - Dickinson 11th - Clear Lake (Prelims - Overall rank) 21th - Ridge Point 20th - Travis 19th - Brazoswood 18th - Clear Brook 17th - shadow Creek 16th - Fulshear 15th - George Ranch 13th Elkins Galena Park Marching Festival 1st - Clements 3rd - Deer Park (I think that’s all the contests that happened let me know if I missed any and if I missed any bands in our area in the comps)

    Wow finally a good show angle for Clear Brook. Comments for these bands Clear Brook is just phenomenal. I love the idea of the whistles, the cleanliness of the drill, choero, music and the colorguard choice of wigs and outfit lol. Deer Park on the other hand is probably having their best show production I’ve ever seen from them in the last couple of years. I feel like there’s some trouble with visual timing and choero, but they’re probably working on that. But two great performances! Deer park - 3:07:13 Clear Brook 1:43:33

    I feel with this new judging system we’ll definitely see a lot of unexpected results in area prelims and finals just imo.

    i totally agree with this with still have weeks till uil and then area we dont know the strategies these bands have to clean their show, we’ll just have to wait and see!

    Coming from someone who seen them preform at finals, just so unbelievably clean I was honestly not surprised once they won. On the other hand I loved PM show but there was some moments where visuals are dirty and some musical moments, but in the end I definitely believed Clements deserved to win.
