Sadly yes this is true so far. As an alumni from the Duncanville band the head director mark is getting forcefully reassigned for no confirmed reasons yet but it is happening. There has been some speculation about the situation on how the new fine arts director of Duncanville and the new superintendent have been planing for several years to change the Duncanville band from a corp style to a show style. Because of the reassigning of Mark Teal they have received huge backlash from it and many of the band student, and band parents are trying there hardest to peacefully “protest” for there director back. Mark Teal wasn’t just a teacher, the Duncanville band will lose there legacy after this. many student, parents, and alumni care deeply about this program but it’s starting to look like there not much they can do. I don’t know how but they need as much support as they can get.
