    4-6 would easily be a wild card, just depends on what show themes kind of show out next year.

    as much as i want them to stay in J, they'd be pretty good candidates to replace Rowlett and Garland in 6A because they're in the same football district as Sachse and North Garland.

    I mean, I also have the Wylie schools joining to help create four spots... but this realignment can truly make or break Area C.

    This year sadly, we may have to expect a 3 to state situation or a god knows that very fragile 4 to state situation, or in some insanely sad case (very unlikely where Area C could look COMPLETELY different)

    It's a guess of their enrollment numbers, especially with some Mesquite schools also dropping to 5A, and the fact that 6A threshold for sure will go up... I'm certain of the Garland/rowlett drop... im about 70% confident in a Mesquite school drop.

    Really shocking news: Garland and Rowlett will be dropping down to 5A for the new realignment, leaving Sachse and North Garland in 6A to fend for themselves...

    If this area stays the same (PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS GOOD), I think we would see the craziest battle between Sachse and the Rockwall schools 😃 for the 3 and the 4... excited to see the sequel of Sachse vs Rockwall Duo 2026.

    Love the fact the Rockwall schools will be heading to state together. Good luck to both! But for Sachse with all the director changes, and running honestly the hardest show by far they've ran in their 21 years as a school, keep y'alls heads high, because yall have so much to grow for and to become a perennial contender in 6A. On my closing note, congrats to Waxahachie, Forney and the coolest show in my opinion, Rockwall, and Heath (for the first time!)

    Good morning everyone!! We are here live on god knows what for the 6A prelims of the UIL Area C Marching Contest!! Can't wait for another amazing day of band, and we'll be starting here in a bit with Royse City HS!!

    I just update of any information I see on WFAA.

    No rain from 7 am until about 6 or 7 PM.

    According to WFAA (I believe they're accurate for this time and situation), we should be good until 5 PM. And even from 5-11, there's gonna be a CHANCE for thuderstorms, and the rain looking to be short lived. As of right now, we may possibly have Area Finals, but, it WILL end really late about (11:30ish)

    Weather doesn't look to get better, so I think it will look to be a one and done prelims unless they want to drag out finals into the midnight hours...

    Sachse will not be making the trip on Friday. Same reasons as Tyler Legacy.

    Weather looks good on Saturday... Should be a shower until 9 am, and some storms at about 8 pm... could for sure maybe hit that midnight threshold but it is area finals (ON A SATURDAY)
