    Barbers Hill moving to 6A is still a big deal… They weren’t far off from 5A state finals at all last year so they have a LEGITIMATE chance of doing really really good in the 6A area

    I fully believe that, but I wasn’t there for it. All we can do is hope the judging goes back to at least how it was in 2024… Still highly inconsistent but definitely not as bad as this past season.

    This year will definitely hold some interesting shows and finalist contenders, but we better HOPE the judging is better than last year because that was a complete and utter mess

    you guys deserved SO MUCH BETTER, i genuinely had yall in my prediction for state because yo uguys were up to some good stuff. this area has some weird judging because i looked at the sheet and it makes no sense. my heart goes out to you guys

    pearland is LOOKING to be on their way to an upset, cant tell for sure right now though

    if im being COMPLETELY honest, theres a chance brook didn’t make finals. I just saw their run and it either got close, or BARELY made finals. there’s no telling now, but their winds and visual was DEFINITELY lacking in that run. Shadow creek is going right now and they honestly look a fair bit stronger in my personal opinion.

    falls, honest mistake on my end. i get the ccisd schools mixed up at times, but overall they had a good performance

    from WHAT LITTLE I HAVE SEEN, dickinson, brook, and pasadena memorial have had really good performances today, bands like clements and churchill fulshear going up just now could be threats, plus the obvious pearland and dawson. the results will definitely surprise some people, regardless of what they are later today.

    those areas are more predictable, there are DEFINITELY gonna be some unexpected events and upsets within finals. thats the main reason I take this area’s predictions with a grain of salt because especially with this area, there’s no guarantee. I am definitely anticipating what the final results are, as regardless of the outcome I feel it’ll be interesting

    These are my predictions for Area this week. They could be WILDLY wrong, but this is how I see it going down, given the amount of potential finalists and how much I’ve been seeing these bands improve and clean as of recently. Elkins - 10th Clements - 9th Clear Brook - 8th Clear Lake - 7th Pasadena Memorial - 6th Foster - 5th SFA - 4th Dickinson - 3rd Pearland - 2nd Dawson - 1st

    if this is true, can someone try and capture a recording of all the bands that perform at this contest?

    I would love to see PM advance to state even if they likely won’t pull it off, their concept and execution is genuinely so cool. I would also like to see DP in finals for once. I completely think shadow creek has a valid chance this year, and I’ll try to post a prediction by tomorrow. even so, all the potential finalists and state bound bands is so hard to come to a true conclusion.

    Region 19’s UIL is coming up this saturday, and they’re a major factor in whether we get 12 finalist/state bound bands at area, overall things look good, but it’s important to keep an eye on bands such as south houston to make sure they advance to area. if all bands do advance to are, it could create an even larger possibility of finalist bands this year.

    honestly it is a little skewering, elkins is surprisingly clean this year and has possibility to even break into finals which would be a big shocker. as for pm, i was beginning to lose hope given their track record recently, but depending on how they take the next 2 weeks until area, they could still be in the run. Overall though, I think the main thing to keep in mind is unless the judge at uil was extremely biased against clements, this could effect them a lot if they can't fix whatever issue caused them to get that rating to begin with, possibly even pushing them out of finals. there's a lot at factor here, but i still strongly believe that the main run is between pearland and dawson, with other major contenders for state being dickinson, brook, lake, foster, and even potentially pm depending on if everybody in region 19 advances to area.

    ok clements definitely deserved straight ones but at least hightower got the 112, 30 bands actually have potential

    i genuinely cant tell what is going to happen this year, so many results are being skewed to a degree i literally wouldnt be able to predict whatsoever. at least my prediction about dawson has potential to come true, but other than that i genuinely couldnt even begin to make a prediction about what finals is going to look like

    it is possible, but it’s VERY dependent on one band that never makes area: Hightower. they are notorious for having sub-par shows and being the reason that most years 5 bands advance and not 6.

    seeing how they’ve been doing this season, they’re definitely in the run for it. they could end up placing higher than this usual this year, which could be nice to see for a change. something tells me this year will have an even more unusual turnout than we could predict, even when compared to past years.

    the thing is clements show seems relatively unfinished choreo wise, meaning theyll probably have to add more visuals throughout their season. meanwhile, pm seems to be just about done visually. all i think that’s left for them is cleaning, and if they can clean a lot from where they are right now, i can definitely see them in the run this year. its the same thing as i said with dawson, they definitely have some dirt visually and musically, but they seem to be on a really good track in terms of how much they have on the field

    clements definitely deserved the win at this point in the season, but i wouldnt be surprised if they surpassed clements at some point this season. they have a LOT of visual elements and it’s hard to clean all that visual stuff at this point in season

    according to their schedule posted they went, but i wasn’t there to see them actually perform, so i wouldn’t know for sure.

    These are honestly some really interesting results. I feel like they're a good starting point as to where these bands are as of now, but once all the shows are cleaned up, we could end up yielding some WILDLY different results at area. It's also important to note that shadow creek also performed at alvin invitational within the same day, which are INSANELY far from each other, so it's likely that they were extremely tired and performed worse for both performances they gave yesterday.
