I can see Wakeland getting 4th at J if they dont update the roster. They could be Prosper imo.

Wakeland, WG, Reedy are all projected to move up to 6a next year alledgedly. Celina, Sulphur Springs, Davenport and Panther Creek, and Prosper Richland will most liklely all be moving up to 5a. I can see Wakeland dominating finals at 6a J and Celina can be a bubble band. That is what I believe as of now

Congratulations to all these programs!!! Emerson stuff is frustrating how they lost finals due to a mishap and i know they will be back for next year. But they had good stuff and fought through! LT congrats on state, yall deserved it that show was amazing to watch. Hope yall go nuts at finals!! Melissa wow, I was not expecting such a high placement from yall (6th). Real underdogs of this area, placing above WG and Reedy is a big win, who know what they could do. Indepenence congrats on finals!! I dont know how you got 19th in brass that doesnt seem right but great performance! Now with the rain situation, it was a slight sprinke during prelims yesterday, Liberty Emerson Melissa etc all fought throught it. If they can put on a good show in the rain then the judges know they can perform even better. All the other programs had a good show but the ones above had some thought I wanted to share. Untill next year!

Mckinney North will not score as high as they used to, and I have a feeling an underdog may rise…. I am thinking Memorial or Emerson

Good luck to everyone competing today, this is by far the most competitve area in all of UIL, I enjoyed watching these programs improve over the season. I am ready to see someone expected not make finals due to all the other contests.

This is devastating news considering that it is the 2nd time recently this happened. I hope they make a great comeback.

Friendswood 10. Burleson Centennial 11. Hendrickson 12. Lake Belton ----------------------------- these results will change once Saturday results arrive. But I am rooting for Wakeland to medal!

yeah they don't have the best slot time, but if they can pull a good performance, they can make finals. But same thing for Emerson, Melissa, Frisco etc.

The fact that programs like Hebron, flower mound, marcus and forney come here is unsettling considering that they will obviously sweep up the podiums. I wonder how the smaller schools compete against this

One week out to this area! Been so fun to watch the progress in these programs! With that, my locked in predictions are made ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1.Wakeland- (cool music and show, will most probably win finals) 2.Lone Star- (one of the best productions they have ever had, has a good shot at winning this area) 3.Lebanon Trail - (They have been on fire this year after last years tragic results, will for sure be making state finals.) 4.Argyle - (This show has grown on me musically, they have a good shot at top 10 in finals as well) 5.Reedy - (Another program on fire, they do have the shine to get a state spot!) 6.Mckinney North - (This show is entertianing in my books, great ballad and visuals. But as of the new judging critrea rubric, I dont know how it will score, they still have a chance at 4-5th but after seeing there contest scores, they have lost to all of these bands above them(including Liberty). 7.Liberty - (This band is so clean visually and I love it, they have the chance to perform well here) 8.Walnut Grove - (The show is not the most interesting concept yet the school performs the heck out of it. Very good showing from the band this year) 9.Independence - (Yes this school has a humoungus brass sound without a doubt, I can see them making finals this year but I dont see them placing above WG or Liberty) 10.Emerson - (After not making finals last year, they have a good shot at making it this year, music is very entertaining! Music matches well with the theme which is great for them) Anything is possible so 4-10 can be suprising but my 1-3 are locked in. I hope they can come back next year to a good season. I noticed on the USBands website that they enrolled for the AT&T Championship which is good for them, wish them well.

I just saw their run from last nights football game and I can admit it is definitely a whole lot better and cleaner since I last saw it. I regret the negative comments about their marching but I still am unsure about how they will rank this year. They can for sure make finals but I cant figure out where they could place. Probably 7th - 10th

They do have an awesome production this year!! More visuals and yes they deserve finals here without a doubt

I think Emerson will not be favored well in UIL this year especially with the weak visual package, I noticed a lot of poor marching technique on the field which was shown through their shaky plumes.

I can see Reedy or Walnut Grove fighting for 4-5th place now! MN will probably not score well. Love the ballad still. But as far as I can tell, North might not even make finals

Wakeland - 2024 Lone Star - 2024 LT 2025

MG&J have really picked up the heat recently and shown that they will podium wherever they go, big dark horse in my book. Love thier show and that closer is so good

1. Wakeland (not the best wakeland show ive seen but opener is fire and they play well) 2. Lone Star (brass takes the cake) 3.LT( deserved state spot) 4.Argyle/MN(north could be down due to dirty visuals, very entertaining show but not clean. 20th at prosper below liberty and above melissa means they could be in trouble!!) 5-6th.MN/Reedy(can see reedy doing really well time will tell) 7th. Independence( that brass wants the smoke this year!!! Although I am not a fan of the copied arrangements from Bella Machaneique, I do like the show, visually clean as well!) 8th-9th.WG/TC(Both are good programs but I am not personally fond of either's show to much) 10th - Heritage(VERY CLEAN it amazed me!! much improvement made!) Bubbles: Memorial(bigger sound and fix dirty drill), Melissa(clean spacing pls), Emerson(if they clean visuals) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anything can happen these next three weeks, for all I know, Denison could come out of nowhere and destroy the compeition if they work hard! But 1-4 are locks and 5-bubbles are guesses, once region finishes i can make my final prediction. But I am amazed by the progression majority of these programs have made. Independence sound is so much richer and bigger, LT has amazing music and visual blend, and Heritage marches like gold. Also to add that Melissa could begin to be the dark horse of this area. I watched their prelims run on youtube and wow the improvment is evident, still some minor induvidual errors and spacing but musically it is very good and big. Big kudos to these programs for keeping me entertained!!
