  1. @BandMom2026..... love the passion and sharing your thoughts. I agree with your point, but am not sure which band is the source of your frustration. I watched all of finals and did not notice this phenomenon. Care to share?
  2. Final Results: 1. Aledo 2. BC 3. Midlothian 4. Richland 5. CH 6. Grapevine 7. Azle 8. Birdville 9. Chisholm Trail 10. Fossil Ridge
  3. Prediction time. But first, congratulations to all the area finalists. It was a fabulous competition and the finalist bands did not disappoint. 1. Cen10 2. Midlothian 3. Aledo 4. Richland 5. Azle 6. CH 7. Grapevine 8. Birdville 9. Fossil Ridge 10. Chisholm Trail
  4. Midlo: Very strong start. Loved it. Fantastic power. Probably the best of the night. Really good energy in closer. Could be the area champ. I did see some drops in colorguard and minor drill issues. But overall great job!!!
  5. CH (the band that wasn't supposed to be here according to many): way to cast off naysayers and do you. Vibrant uniforms, good sound and solid drill. Are those Legend of Zelda props? While I didn't feel it, congratulations on Area finals.
  6. Aledo HS: I expected to really like this show. I am an aviation enthusiast and love me some Top Gun. But I didn't feel it. This is the first time seeing Aledo this year and I see what others have mentioned. Something is off with this show. They certainly have great power, solid drill and quality musicians. They will probably win Area, but I expected more. Cool props.
  7. Cen-10: So much to like about this show. There is an intesity to it that I don't feel in most shows. Some noticeable gaffs in the drill and drops by colorguard. Music was outstanding and as always the drumline was on fire!! Will their gaffs in drill cost them a trip to state?
  8. Richland HS: Winner for coolest props under the lights. Love the iradesence. Wonderful hits and power from the band. Very cool show and gave this fan chills. Should be good enough for a trip to STATE!!
  9. Azle HS: I want more. Super great opener. Solid drill and colorguard throughout. Bass drum in the pit was awesome. Battery and Pit both brought solid performances. Cool fire props in the closer. Great job Azle.
  10. Fossil Ridge: RIDGE with a power statement in the opener. First chills of the night! Thank you. Bold move Cotton with a Bari-sax soloist. I liked the swagger of the trombone soloist also. Really strong start and finish by FR.
  11. Chisholm Trail: Really nice show. Love the theme and its integration into the show. Cool visuals, especially in the closer. Shout out to the front ensemble! Your skill was noticed. Solid performance by the whole ensemble.
  12. Birdville HS: I really like this show! Fun, relatable, and recognizable music. Very cool prop/props with the record players and I love how it is used in the opener. Battery stood out to me as a positive. Enjoyed the whole performance. Good luck Birdville. I think you are right there for the 5th spot.
  13. Here we go with UIL 5A Area F finals!! First up Grapevine HS! Very lovely colorguard during the moving ballad. Impactful closer with a solid company presentation to the crowd. Great way to open finals. Good job Grapevine!
  14. Looks like I spoke too soon. Lightning struck right at the end of Birdville show. 30 minute weather delay at minimum.
  15. No. The contest continued on schedule. The rain has stopped at the moment. Threat of rain remains with the majority of it just to the north of the stadium.
