I’m not knowledgeable with all the realigning stuff but from what I’ve heard and seen there’s supposed to be big shake ups in areas is this official or all just speculation

Alot of inconsistency this season so I still cant tell where everyone should be but overall it produced a lot of mind boggling results that probably wouldn’t have happened with the past judging

I said this earlier in the year but Langham doing indoor percussion would help them out and it did in a big way I truly believe doing indoor is a major advantage as it’s basically marching band year around and it will help especially with this new judging

Yeah the percussion guy was all over the place he had cy parks ranked I think 11th

I’m seeing a lot of judging that I don’t agree with this new judging system and has truly changed up everything

Im pretty sure the remaining bands perform then prelims are taken as the final results

Cy fair band posted about it on Facebook and a cy fair isd post had area on October 27th

Area I has officially been rescheduled to Monday the start of I think a few postponements

Here are my official final predictions 1. Bridgeland- I was hesitant to put them here there show just doesent carry as much energy or wow as it has in the past but Bridgeland is Bridgeland and I still believe they will be first 2. seven lakes- love there show start to finish suited to uil and I believe the new judging will help them achieve second and state finals for a second year in a row 3. cy woods- Another great band there shows continue to be unique and I love every single one them lovely sound and clean drill will have them hoping to make state finals 4. Cy fair- im just not ready to have them out of state the results are there for them to continue making state and I just can’t see who will keep them from achieving it state finals might be out of reach but state is most definitely not 5. Cinco ranch- there show in my opinion carry’s the most Wow factor from the clarinet solo to the mello sustain this show is the one that brings cinco to the promise land 6. Jordan- it will be close between them and cinco but I believe uil judging will favor cinco alittle but at this point I believe this is straight 50/50 idk I originally had jordan ahead but changed my mind 7. Jet-strong show I believe there the head of the middle of the pack good enough for finals but not good enough for state this would be a great result to build off of for next year where I believe they will join the fight for state 8. Tompkins- no regression has been seen from them the same things I said about jet apply to them great show with a lot of energy just not quite ready for the fight for state 9. Katy- seem to be in the same place they were last year on the bubble for finals I give them the edge due too there results haven’t seen there show yet actually but from what I’ve heard it’s a step up 10. Langham creek- I believe they are good enough to be higher in these predictions but I just can’t justify putting them higher with the results they’ve had but that being said they have mastered the art of uil and the judging will favor them I want them to finish the season strong and continue to improve 11. cy ranch- there show seems to be about the same level of difficulty and wow as last year I believe Katy and Langham have them beat but it is really close for that final spot would love to see them make it

Did they do finals aswell on the postponement date

I think he’s referring to the areas that are at risk of being postponed before areas even happen like take area I 6a for example there’s talk between directors and officials of postponing to Monday and not doing Saturday all together would they keep finals if they did or just do prelims

I feel bad for all the band directors who have to work out logistics if it gets moved to monday. Its starting to look more likely than not that it will happen and all districts have school that day.

I was looking at the chances in Houston and it looks like it’ll be raining all day

So if a contest gets moved to it’s rain date will it still have finals or will it be pre Lims only

After another week of scores here are my predictions 1 Bridgeland- another great week for them winning lone star preview can’t wait to see them in person 2 seven lakes- won the Katy cup show is going to be great for uil love the direction there headed 3 cy woods- don’t think they went to a contest this week but still have a great show love seeing them get better every year 4 cy fair- still a bit iffy on them but still have them making state love the show theme 5 cinco ranch- absolutely love there show now that I’ve fully seen it love the hits and the clarinet soloist wanna see them make state this year 6 jordan- another great show just don’t think it’s uil oriented as much as other bands have them first out of state 7 jet- a Great placement at Katy still think the bar to make state is still alittle bit to high for them to make it 8 tompkins- loved there show unique and powerful in the same boat as jet but have them comfortably making finals 9 cy ranch- still hasn’t seen there show but there placement at Katy is good enough for me to have them right here 10 Katy- another school who’s show I haven’t see but placed alright at Katy so i think they will have a good shot at finals —————————————— 11 Langham creek-they had another underwhelming week didn’t beat a single area finals band I don’t know what is happening to them but they have two weeks to fix it to try and fight for an area finals spot

So what’s everyone opinion on cinco ranch I’m seeing a lot of variety in where people think they will place.

New predictions after this weeks results 1-2 Seven lakes- they are really impressing everybody especially with there early season results 2-3 Cinco ranch- still a bit iffy on there show not quite sure how they will place 2-4 jordan- basically the same thing as cinco except I think they are a bit more established at this point 3-5 Jet- haven’t seen there placements just moved them up a bit due to others results fluctuating 3-7 Langham creek- the music is there for a great result but the visual scores are a bit concerning they’ve actually flip flopped from last year 4-7 tompkins- kept them in the same place Wanna see how they do here so I can make my area I predictions 5-8 Katy- placed high at battle at the berry but I’m still not confident on where i think they will place 5-9 cy ranch- haven’t heard or seen much about them still waiting to see a video of them in just putting them here based on reputation 7-10 Tomball- surprised me with there placement at battle at the berry I wonder if they can keep it up 8-11 Jersey village- they seem to be still stagnant in they aren’t getting worse but aren’t getting better 9-12 Mayde creek- haven’t seen them but loved there show last year

I agree with this there is just to many unknowns and inconsistencies to be able to make knowledgeable predictions

This is all the info I’ve gathered from the beginning part of this day Bridgeland- pretty much exactly where they were last year state finals is still probably the goal cy woods- pushing for state finals made finals at boa south Houston waiting to see where they place in finals Cy fair- there show has a lot of great moments not quite sure how it will stack up against others at uil but it’s a great boa show seven lakes- they are building a lot of momentum riding off of making state finals last year pretty much a lock for state Langham Creek- Musically they are a state level band one Judge had them beating bridgeland today visuals and percussion need A lot of work really held back there’re scores today Katy- I think they are pretty much still in the same ballpark as last year not quite good enough for state these are all the bands I’ve really paid attention to today

So I’m getting the feeling that you attend Jersey village high school

While I think Jersey village is a great program I haven’t heard or seen anything to suggest they should be ahead of either of those bands for one Jersey has actually slipped away from both of them since 22 and while a change in design could help them it won’t drastically change there band right away especially since the release of the Langham video I just can’t see it happening
