I mean you know it's true. Any other bands in area finals could have taken that 3rd place spot 2 years ago. Clearly you don't have the perspective of how it feels to get close to something and not achieve it.

I agree with you. I do not understand what is so special with Birdville though. I don't even comprehend why they made state 2 years ago! Either way, our band is pretty upset the fact we fell one place behind them at area finals 2017. Hopefully 4 bands can make state this year. This area is very competitive compared to other ones in the state of Texas!

It is safe to say Aledo, Colleyville and Centennial are going to be in area finals. Joshua high school, Granbury, Chisolm Trail, and Boswell are possible contenders for Area finals as well. I am skeptic whether Azle will be at area finals this year as a result of Birdville invitational results.

I expected a better performance from a band that made state in my opinion. Honestly I can't wait to see the Area F competition, seeing all these bands competing for the goal of state. Maybe we could get 4 bands sent to state if we get 20 bands to compete in area compared to the 19 bands from 2 years ago.

Unsure about Chisholm trail in Area F; however, Colleyville, Aledo, us (Centennial), and Azle (did not make finals in this competition) are the main contenders at our area. I gotta admit, Colleyville has one heck of a show. Didn't think they would get top 5 or any better than us based on area results 2 years ago but clearly I was proved wrong. To be honest I thought the 6A schools would to better! Looking forward to seeing these bands in area finals. Really close at the moment to decide state contenders! On the side not, I'm relieved that Richland isn't present in our 5A area anymore and am not looking forward and not expecting to see Birdville as a state contender based on that expedition showcase!
