I wouldn't see CTJ at the top 3 because their style is more BOA than UIL. It would most likely be Hebron, Vandegrift, and Flower Mound this year or the Lewisville ISD trio (including Marcus with Hebron and FloMo). CTJ might rank 4th-7th depending if the show is written to rank high in BOA or UIL but their shows are more design for BOA. The Lewisville ISD trio have shows that both do well in BOA and UIL. However, I believe Vandegrift might break the Lewisville ISD trio this year for State.

Definitely Coppell and Keller are finalist for sure. Hopefully, Duncanville and Haltom come back to be finalist this year for the state contest after their 2016 run.

Area B is very tricky because all the band programs in that Area are very great. I believe Haltom will advance to state this year but it could be anyone's game this year because of Area B. We won't know what happens until late October :/

It's early but I will say Flower Mound will be the 2019 6A TMEA Honor Band. They have been very close, especially with their 2nd place ranking in 2017.

My top 6 prediction on Area B based on knowing these bands in person: -Keller -Duncanville -Coppell -LD Bell -Waxahachie (it will be interesting because they were a 5A finalist in 2017) -Haltom or Timber Creek (possible but not a safe bet)
