  1. I got a one on my solo [grade one but not memorized (Hummel trumpet concerto)] and a one on my brass quintet [grade one (Die Bankelsangelieder, don't know spelling)] so my ensemble gets to go to state! :]]]]
  2. We played The Glory of the Yankee Navy by Sousa, Blue Shades by Frank Ticheli, Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson, and 'Twas the Night Before Christmas (a skit seniors put on with narration and band music, tradition) :] For UIL, we are playing Red Machine (forgot composer but it's a brand new piece), Circus Band (don't know composer and it's our march), and I forgot the other one. Sorry. I'm also in the full orchestra and we have the second best full orchestra in the state from 2006-2007 year! (We would have gotten 1st if one judged had ranked us one higher...)
  3. Well, we did amazing at contests until BOA SA (didn't do Arlington because of homecoming on the same night) but then SA came and it wasn't so good. Oh well. And yeah the '06 show was my favorite of the two so far that I've been in. It was probably the most complex drill anyone saw in our area except for L.D. Bell from that year. What did y'all play for the winter concert? Do you know about UIL?
  4. It was the "marionette show" as everyone referred to it as. It's on youtube just type in Creekview Band 2007 and it should be the first and second videos. I personally like the second one better. It was the first contest of the season. And yeah it's like crazy easy drill because we have new directors this year and they didn't know what we could handle. Last year's show was WAY better in my opinion plus the guard is WAYYY better also in the '06 one (we just lost our guard instructor and a bunch of people also). Type in Creekview Band 2006 and it's the first one if you want to see last year's show (the one that almost got into finals at BOA SA in '06). But there were only 12 spots that year and there are normally 14 (we got 14). They are NOTHING compared to Cedar Park.
  5. .....Creekview..... :\ By the way, I REALLLLLLY enjoyed y'alls show this year! It was awesome and on my top five favorites. :]]
  6. Don't worry about it! What school do you go to?
  7. Actually, they are going next year. My friend that goes there told me that Mr. E and the principal want to set records.
  8. Haha there must have been some miscommunication. I don't play flute/piccolo. My friends do. That's who I was talking about.
  9. Another note: We are the area that goes trys out in Abeline. With all of the Marcus, Hebron, Collyville Heritage, and Flower Mound kids too.
  10. What time are you getting there? And if you're in the Symphony Orchestra, the piccolo player is ours.
  11. Well I don't know for TMEA because it's different from UIL.
  12. edit to my last post: the junior was one chair away from state last year =]
  13. Our (Creekview) piccolos OWNED (got 1st and 2nd chair) at possibly the hardest region in the state and were the only ones advancing to area. One is a sophmore and it's her first year to tryout on piccolo and the other is a junior who missed state by two or three chairs last year. The sophmore beat the junior. So depending on what area you go to, watch out!
