WanderingTraveler Posted October 30, 2025 Posted October 30, 2025 Starting this topic early to share an announcement from the Mandarins: Mandarins Performing Arts has announced that the Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps will take a hiatus from the 2026 Drum Corps International season as part of a comprehensive strategy to strengthen organizational infrastructure, enhance member experience, and ensure long-term sustainability amid evolving economic conditions affecting the performing arts nationwide. "This decision reflects our commitment to thoughtful growth and the continued pursuit of excellence," said Dr. Daniel Fong, President/CEO of Mandarins Performing Arts. "The Mandarins organization has a proud history of innovation and resilience. Taking a single season to retool our systems, evaluate touring logistics, and invest in creative and instructional development will position us for even greater success moving forward." MoBone Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 Does anyone know why DCI opted to go to Bedford for the “Dallas” show instead of the usual Mesquite memorial stadium? It doesn’t make any sense to me, Mesquite must have dropped the ball big time to let DCI go. Quote

Mesquite memorial is one of the worst band stadiums because of it only having 1 entrance/exit so the pit coming in and off of the field run into each other and its a mess. I've preformed there a few times and it's such a hassle especially if your rival school is on the field pushing against you, the words you hear from them could get you instant banned on this site.
