Have you seen any perform this year? out of this Area Llano, Robinson, & Gatesville made state in 04. Llano & Gatesville didn't make to fianls and we came in 2nd. assuming thers been no major changes.... Llano, is ok... not extraordinary alittle above average you can say? We actually beat them somewhere now that i think about it but thats another story. Giddings, well i saw them last year... not soo good i HIGHLY doubt they will be anything compared to Llano Gatesville, well purdy much in the same boat as Giddings Rockdale, unless they had a crud load of people join band from last year to this year, theyre gonna be purdy small Wimberly, they are VERY good in football, unfortunately not in band well as of last year anyway. Llano-Made state in 04', but I haven't seen them since. Robinson-my band, came in 2nd at State in 04'. We did very poorly at Plano East Marching Festival, but got sweepstakes last week. Giddings- unknown La Grange-Unknown Comanche-Unknown Sealy- got a 1-2-3 last week leaving them with a 2nd Division, but no band got a first division in this regional and 2 bands must advane to area. How do you get a 1 from one judge and a 3 from another? Taylor-Supposedly doing very well, just moved down from 4A Gatesville- Came in last at state 2 years ago, usually very good. I haven't seen them this year till the the week before state when we play them in football Columbus-Unknown Kennedale- Didn't seem to good when we played them in football earlier, but we were very poor back then as well. Liberty Hill- Unknown Bellville- got a Division 2 last week in Sealy's Region and was the other band to advance Smithville-Unknown China Spring- Military band that wasbarely left out of state two years ago, very good band. We play them on friday, so i'll get a good look at them. Glen Rose-Unknown Rockdale- Not a very good band, but might have improved Wimberly-Unknown I say it goes like this 1.) Smithville 2.) We played Glen Rose, they've got a nice sound and march a very clean show. If I remember correctly, they're playing "X!" by Key Poulan. Anyway, my prediction still stands, but maybe take out Glen Rose. Either way, I think Glen rose will give a good fight against Llano and China Spring. Your band was 2nd in State last time around, so I'm thinking you won't have any problem going again. By the way, what's your show this year? whitewing09 Posted October 26, 2006 Report Share Posted October 26, 2006 i wish i was in a different area ours is gonna be hard to advance out of for us. there only advancing like 5 bands from ours, we have Port Isabel so theyre most likely gonna Advance then Rio Hondo who is as good as Port I. then 4 bands outta the 9 that advanced from our region are like almost equal so ya 6 purdy good bands 5 places... it really sux. hopefully we arent the odd band out andill march against yalls bands at the alamo dome. Robinson 2. Glen Rose or 3. Taylor 4. Kennedale. we were only supposed to take 3 bands but kennedale scored so well that they got to go. I'm not sure if Taylor or Glen Rose came in 2nd though.
