A marching band competition called the 
Mansfield Preview of Champions is scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Vernon Newsom Stadium in Mansfield, Texas. The following bands are reported to be participating in or making an appearance at the competition, according to fan forums and band websites: 
  • James Bowie High School
  • Berkner High School
  • Lake Ridge High School
  • Midlothian High School
  • Walnut Grove High School
  • South Grand Prairie High School
  • Arlington High School
  • Legacy High School
  • Summit High School
  • Creekview High School
  • Granbury High School (Granbury, TX)
  • Mansfield High School (performing in exhibition)

Over all it’s been a great contest, some pretty strong bands for early season especially. Walnut grove sounded amazing. I look forward to seeing how they place in finals cause there is no way they don’t make finals.
