In which they agree that their technique isn't as well defined. I love Jordan as much as the next guy but compared to how good they are at almost every other aspect of their show, technique is definitely the weakest link in comparison.

I haven't seen them paetows show this year but they had pretty cool show last year. They have also been progressing a lot over the past few years so I think this year will be another big improvement. if y'all have any videos pls send ;3

I get the effect they are going for. They do a couple of bows in the form towards the dancers and soloists, but it just doesn't appeal to me.

And yes, I agree. The scores won't reflect this. I also have a problem with many bands in this area's shows where they flutter to sets, play, and then flutter away to another set to play again. Maybe I'm just a purist, but I feel like the marching aspect of marching band isn't being recognized that much anymore.

I truly believe battle for all the music captions will now be between tompkins and Seven lakes(and some cinco due to a crazy solo) after just from prelims tompkins beating out seven lakes in ensemble music(even though Seven won music in finals). but i dont know if tompkins can make top 3 because of the visual score, though i do think that might be a point of emphasis throughout this next week that if they improve can maybe push them into top 3. i still think top 3 is going to be 7L then between jordan and cinco for 2nd and 3rd. And i think a band like Mayde creek after seeing their show some time ago can enter the top 10

New predictions after this weeks results

1-2 Seven lakes- they are really impressing everybody especially with there early season results 

2-3 Cinco ranch- still a bit iffy on there show not quite sure how they will place 

2-4 jordan- basically the same thing as cinco except I think they are a bit more established at this point 

3-5 Jet- haven’t seen there placements just moved them up a bit due to others results fluctuating 

3-7 Langham creek- the music is there for a great result but the visual scores are a bit concerning they’ve actually flip flopped from last year

4-7 tompkins- kept them in the same place Wanna see how they do here so I can make my area I predictions 

5-8 Katy- placed high at battle at the berry but I’m still not confident on where i think they will place 

5-9 cy ranch- haven’t heard or seen much about them still waiting to see a video of them in just putting them here based on reputation 

7-10 Tomball- surprised me with there placement at battle at the berry I wonder if they can keep it up

8-11 Jersey village- they seem to be still stagnant in they aren’t getting worse but aren’t getting better 

9-12 Mayde creek- haven’t seen them but loved there show last year

I agree. I believe that loss motivated them so much, they will be locked in from the time they hit the band hall in the morning.

agreed, I feel like the music's kinda taking a backseat. The band’s solid, don’t get me wrong, but it’s all about the visuals like kneeling for a whole 40 seconds!??. That’s supposed to make up for  an epic solo or what?

Your right I kinda rushed those predictions just from what I seen myself on the forums and in person but idk yet I'll just re check some things before I edit it but it felt right at that moment

Overall I like their show last year better than this year but their guard seems to be really good visually but overall I can easily see them getting top 3 at this contest

I would say Cinco is too low, jersey is too high, and Cy Ranch is def too low
