I just heard, finals slots/times was chosen random. Eaton got first overall, but I’m waiting to hear the rest from my sources. Anybody else know for sure how finals times were chosen at this tournament?

Finals slots were random draw. Brock got 10th place overall

I think they did very well. I felt they needed a little more work in some spots with music.  I'm looking forward to seeing them again at Area!

NC was pretty good. Only had about 5 minutes of drill though. I’m sure they’ve got more coming of course. I would imagine they were in the lower half of the top 10 as is.

North Crowley - solid woodwind sound at the beginning.  Mellos consistently louder than the entire ensemble.  Clearly the brass had power but they’re not using it.  Good low brass sound in the gliss.  Alto sax soloist’s middle D was sharp(huge surprise lol) which I’m allowed to comment on as a sax guy.  Good ensemble sound at the end of the ballad.

Canton - good balance.  Mello intonation a little high there lol.  Underground was shaky on balance and woodwind intonation.  Tuning seems to be the main problem throughout.

Yes, we only had our opener up until our ballad on the field. We hope to add our closer next week.

Gatesville - nice balance.  Cool Bari sax solo; shame I couldn’t hear it over the synth.  Very abrupt ending.
