    Westfield (6A Area F) turns in 2145, should be a lock for 5A.

    I haven't seen Lake Belton's. Belton reported 1763.

    Wagner reported 2294.5 and should move up; Leander is closer at 2263, but I believe they should still move up. Garland and Rowlett are reportedly opting up to 6A. I would like to add some personal insight on Area F, as Davis dropped a good 900+ students from the previous numbers, which might be a bad sign for the Aldine and Spring bands. Area F barely got to 30 bands qualified from region before Aldine DQ'd. More than likely that Area F remains stuck at 5 state spots.

    Congrats to La Porte! Got to see them at a competition earlier this season and what they’re doing there is great! Wishing them good luck at state!

    Vandegrift turns in 2361 and Vista Ridge turns in 2496. Both will remain in 6A. Oh and Cedar Park turns in 2304, so they will go to 6A. This is all assuming that the cutoff goes down from 2275 (I think).

    I haven't seen numbers from either of them yet. I will say I don't think anyone really has them on the radar to drop to 5A.

    Seems like it is a 10 band final, it’s been a fun four years for me and an honor to have performed in this area. Wishing good luck to everyone tonight in finals.

    Aldine HS has reportedly been disqualified. Rumors say there was a failing student that flew under the radar that performed at the region contest.

    Anything after the finals slots are crapshoot.

    It’s very apparent the talent in the area is getting MUCH better, especially with the Aldine bands.

    At a lunch break, Nimitz and Davis have gotten 1’s. Net gain of +1 from Region 33 so far.

    I think Nimitz can get in, last year I heard they simply had a bad run. As for Davis and Mac, I can see one but not both going from 2 to 1. I’d like to state that Dekaney is on a full rebuild since their directors went to Conroe. I am hopeful they can get to Area since Westfield was in similar situation last year.

    Got some reports that Finals will be canceled. If my assumptions are correct… Congrats to The Woodlands, Klein Oak, North Shore, College Park, and Tomball Memorial for making State!

    It could be one of those things where they do top 5/bottom 5 but organize each of those two parts with the draw.
