Just taking a quick glance at the bands participating, it looks to me like the battle for top three will be between Keller Central, Keller Timber Creek, and Wakeland. I'd say the next few bands will be Aledo, Boswell, Fossil Ridge, and perhaps Prosper. Unfortunately, I don't know much about the rest of the groups.
Excellent adjudication staff for this contest, though.

Just went through the Prelims Scores on the BOA website and saw something rather surprising. In prelims competition, Timber Creek placed 11th. Coppell placed 10th, and beat Timber Creek by .5 of a point. Coppell also received a .5 point penalty, bringing them to a tie with Timber Creek for 10th. Crazy stuff. This band almost didn't make finals, and we would have missed out on a wonderful show. Anyone know what cause Coppell's penalty? Show too short?
Timber ended up beating Coppell by a full point in finals though. Really impressed by this group.

Whoever it was that first said to watch Timber Creek (was it on here?) was 100% right. Honestly watching today has given my brain creative overload. Just wow. I had a few that were not my bag, but I agree with most of the ones I'm assuming are at the top. I know they say that the order of announcement is in no particular order, but is this really true? It seems they announced in reverse order? I could be wrong.
If I recall correctly, performance times are split in two. 6-10th place get a random draw of the first five performance times, and 1-5th get the last five.

Who thinks Timber Creek could beat out Bellevue West at Midland? I'd say they're definitely on track for a very strong showing there.
I mentioned it in the BOA Midland thread, but I really think they could take second out from under Bellevue, at least in prelims, since Bellevue is going first. It will be an interesting to see the outcome.

11 bands in finals. Never heard of this happening before. Very exciting stuff. 3 Keller ISD bands in finals, and Timber Creek's first BOA finals performance ever.

Very impressed by both Coppell and Timber Creek. Great way to start the block. Hoping to see them both in finals.

An early draw for Bellevue West! That's a 12-hour drive for them down from NE, so unless they're flying, I guess they'll come down on Friday.
Also, I think this might be a first-BOA experience for several bands. Good for them!
That's a rough draw for Bellevue. I haven't seen either schools show yet, but if what I have heard is true, perhaps Timber Creek might be able to steal second from them, at least in prelims. Finals will most likely be a different story.
Overall, the school I am most excited for is Clovis. It will be very fun to see them back in action at a BOA competition.

Not to discredit the other Area B bands (Duncanville, Coppell, LD Bell), but once Keller fixed some minor issues from prelims, it was clear that they were head and shoulders above the rest in finals. If they can get another stellar performance like that out at State they could do very well I think.

I was surprised to see Plano East make such a leap. Any idea what caused their finals performance to be so much better? I didn't get to see them.

My heart says Timber Creek for second, but my brain is telling me Bellevue. I pretty much agree with the rest of the predictions, however, I think Sherman might be able to pass Clovis.
