Here are my finals predictions (if the scoring isn't so messed up again)

1. HP

2. Aledo (I can see either Aledo or HP coming out on top)

3. Colleyville - (couldn't find any footage but usually pretty solid all-around band)

4. Midlo

5. Mckinney

6. Lakeridge

7.Legacy

8.Summit

9. Timberview

10.?

(4-6 I could honestly see all switching around, Lakeridge sounds amazing from there footage from a week ago and could easily beat out some of the other bands I put ahead. Midlo is also super nice again from the footage I've seen. Mckinney i cant find any footage of but from what i know there usually pretty nice throughout the season. 7-10 i could honestly see any band, from what I know Legacy and Summit have taken significant steps away from last year but could still show promise. Timberview seems like a wild card to beat out any of the bands that I put 4-10. There show seems super exciting and Im hoping ill get the chance to see it. Most of the bands that i didn't name (Southwest,TrimbleTech,Sam Houston) I honestly couldnt find footage or just dont know enough about them to put them "accurately" in my predictions.)

Super excited to see these bands and get to watch them grow throughout the season.

Wow… these are some interesting results. Anyone their love. Very shocked about HP and Summit… an almost 10 point gap? I mean wow they must have taken a major step back from these last few years? Congratulations to all though, just once again an interesting year at this comp.

Summit has all new directors.

Messrs Kanicki and Garcia are at Trinity.

Dr Hart also left.

Mr Nugent is at Prosper Rock Hill

HP visuals/Marching technique were outstanding but you could tell how the lagged behind some other schools, still a great show and glad to see how they improve.

HP  just had an off day, I am sure they will bounce back.

A few observations:

Aledo has a great, balanced show with probably the most complexity in music and drill than the other shows. And just an incredible feature saxophone soloist.

Three state finalists in the second block of five finalists for this contest - definitely a competitive finals!

I thought HP looked and sounded great and was quite clean. There is some cleanup to do musically, and more to be added to the show, which will help. They also had a full staffing change over the summer.

Very fun finals to watch! Lots more to come!
