Southlake Carroll is the only one I know of for sure going. Pearland is also a strong possibility. Coppell definitely needs to go!  Who else is rumored or confirmed to be attending?

this sounds like the same conversations from a year ago - we had a great deal of - "confirmed" as attending - at one point I had 15 "confirmed" bands and we had 7 that attended - love to hear the projected attendees, but I will wait till June before we start printing shirts 🤪

The 2022 Bands of America Grand National Championships will be held November 10-12th, 2022 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN.

It’s never too soon to start planning and chatting about the Texas bands who are (or rumored to be) attending GN next fall!

Well I sure would like to see Hebron go. :)

Hebron will be back in 2023 as long as this whole rose parade thing doesn’t totally drain them financially (mostly a joke but those expenses are real). I’m curious to see what Vandegrift does. Will they be an every other year school like CTJ and The Woodlands? Will they slide into a 4 year rotation like Hebron/FloMo/Marcus? It also feels like it’s been a while since we saw the Cedars at Nats (Ridge and Park). I’d also like to see LD Bell make the trip again. And who but leandermomma knows what Leander’s plans are lol.

Cedar Ridge returning to Grand Nats would be exciting, but I definitely think they should hold off until they've hit a consistency with the new director. There seems to be a bit of a roller-coaster when they have director changes, that eventually stabilizes out, but we also haven't seen a head director stay in the position at Cedar Ridge for more than 4 years, so we haven't even seen the band given a chance to have that stability for an extended period. I'm really hoping Dan Musacchio can stick around for a while and introduce a new level of success for the program going forward.

I don't know much about Bell's chances on going to GNats next year but I do know they were supposed to go in 2020 with a Top Gun show (which evidently was given to William Mason this year). I would love to see them make the trip considering their last appearance in Indy was in 2013 but I'm not sure how they are financially since they got hit hard from the pandemic and lost a good number of students. Hopefully they make a comeback and go soon!

Hey Y’all, I’m a Pearland insider and this is going to make y’all sad but Pearland is not going to BOA Grand Nationals in 2022 for a few reasons, the biggest being that due to Mr. Munoz’s sudden leave we only have an interim director of bands, Mr. Brown, and while he was with Cedar Park when they went to Indianapolis in 2016, because we do not have a set-in-stone director of bands there is no possible way to plan a trip like this, also in Pearland ISD you are only allowed to travel out-of-state every other year, once again confirming that we will not be attending. Do not worry we will be all around Texas next year I’m sure, just not in Indiana.

Piggybacking off of this as an insider and graduate a few years ago, I believe it would be in the program's best interest to hold off on the big trip for a couple more years.
