UIL Area D 4A 2021

Recommended Posts

Another Area in 4A that has strong competition is Area D. Last year, 6 bands advanced to the State contest, and this year, we could be seeing 6 bands advance once again.

The bands that advanced last year were Springtown, Kennedale, Burnet, Taylor, China Spring, and Lake Belton.

This contest will be a good one and with the return of Castleberry, the competition will be, for sure, a good one. Good luck to all the bands at Region and we will see how everything goes at the Area contest and prepare to see who will advance to the 4A State championships!

I did a grid of all bands that compete in Area D so we can see who will advance in Area and go to State.

Kennedale opted out of Area!! They’re not advancing even with the Division 1 rating at Region.

Well then, looks like we may be seeing a new band make State or a band return! Has all the bands in Area D qualified?

Looks like there should be around 30 bands that qualify for Area D 4A.  Region 27 (4 groups) contest is on 10/20 and 2 of those groups need a 1st division to break the 30 mark.

We would need 3 to make 31 with Kennedale not going to Area, but 2 to make it 30 even. Right now we have 28 bands headed to Area D with us waiting on Region 27.

I am really excited to see how Lake Belton does this year. Last year they went to state with only a sophomore and freshman class! This year their show is so much better and they have the addition of a junior class.
