They seemingly have almost all of their show on the field. Definitely think they have a decent chance of winning. Certainly a good shot at the music caption. This may be one of the strongest Hebron shows from a GE standpoint since “Sculpt”. Expand Stumbled onto that video just now, what good fortune haha Quote
Origin Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 I just saw that video too lol. Hebron never fails to amaze me. To me it feels closest to their 2018 show, but with a bit clearer of a visual design. I imagine this show ends up cleaner than the 2018 one did. Also, the guard has gotten so much better in the past few years. I kindof agree with what someone said about the music not going with the visual theme, but it’s so good I can’t complain. Quote

We actually broil without them. And sunscreen if you're fair skinned. Also, I'm pretty sure they have a clear bag policy. I think all stadiums have that now. Quote
BandFan59 Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 After watching the Hebron video at Mesquite and comparing it to the Flower Mound one at Wylie, I would have to say Hebron is on top right now. They definitely have more of their show on the field, and the musical execution is incredible as always. I also think that because Flower Mound's show is a bit more unusual, it might be harder to get the message of the show across so to say, while Hebron's show is definitely more classic and upfront. Also, Marcus isn't too far off either of them in my opinion, so they might have an outside shot at winning as well. Of course, a lot can happen in a week's worth of rehearsals, so maybe this is all moot. Tomorrow will be very exciting to watch! Quote
jmj Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Omg have now seen the Hebron and FloMo vids and I can’t pick but I adore them both already. Both amazing in their own styles and excited to see what this rehearsal week has done. Tomorrow is gonna be fun! Quote

slowbrass Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Memorial seems like a band with a lot going for them in the future. Pretty cool closing drill there. Quote
BandDad4 Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 For this year I honestly think Keller is ranked to high. I saw their show this past week and just was not impressed. I don't know if the year off took a step back or not, but they did not seem like the old Keller we are used to seeing. Quote
jmartin1056 Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 I could not imagine performing a show like that at 9:30 in the morning, let alone doing as good as they did. Nothing short of spectacular. I’m sure their finals run will be a lot cleaner just because of how much later in the day it’ll be. This show is going to do well at UIL as well. Origin 1 Quote
slowbrass Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Really good, Hebron. The music sounds super clean. I think it’ll all look better under the lights. Quote
Origin Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Ugh. Hebron, that was incredible. That’s gonna be difficult to beat. No words. (watching on the stream btw) Parkwoodmom 1 Quote

Origin Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 LD Bell’s guard is massive this year which makes no sense to me because the band looks a bit smaller. I usually have complaints with Cartwright shows, but will Bell, I think it really works visually. All the props shape the field in a way that makes the band feel bigger than it actually is. Frankly, I was expecting a cleaner performance especially since the whole show doesn’t seem to be on the field, but it was still quite solid. The soloist in the ballad was awesome. Quote
