Thoughts on Pearland High School?

hopefully they will continue on the upward trend like they did last year with their amazing train show.  Can't wait to see this year's.  I don't think I'll be able to attend BOA Conroe this time, but I will definitely be watching on FloMarching and will surely get to see them in San Antonio?

I graduated from PHS in 2016 and still have close connections to members so I thought I would offer my insight from what I've seen and heard. We got a lot better while I was there and they have continued to do so since then. They hired a new show designer in 2016 and have skyrocketed in terms of show design. The culture of the band has also gotten much better and every student is contributing more and more. They have a great staff and fantastic leadership. They are for real, and they are HUNGRY. This will be another great year for them!

Pearland made great leaps last season with their show Trainscapes. While just missing finals by two spots at BOA Conroe, they left with many people questioning why they didn’t make finals. During their super regionals performance they started strong but had a major tear in their difficult last movement of Short Ride on a Fast Machine. Without these timing issues they very well could’ve slipped into finals. I would definitely call them one of the most improved bands from last season and I’m expecting great things again from them this year. Excited to see how they perform at Conroe on Saturday

So I guess this is the best place to put it without starting a new topic. Pearland has recently been selected to march at the 2020 Rose Parade.

We’ll have to see how Pearland competes with other similar skill level bands this weekend at area for a state spot

I would say we’ve improved quite a lot, first grand nats trip this year!!!
