LeanderMomma Posted May 7, 2018 Report Share Posted May 7, 2018 Lol yes my mom is Gina and my girlfriend's mom is Lisa YES!! Possibly the two most favorite band moms I've met to date. They were hanging out in the shade between semis and finals just outside the gate at BOA Austin last year, and so I forced myself into their little group so I could sit in the shade as well. They had the same snarky sense of humor that I have, so an instant bond was formed. I'm looking forward to seeing them again this fall! A tier of bands who are usually just outside of top 5 contention at previous BOA regionals competing for a medal, a large tier of super talented bands that deserve a chance at a BOA final and a couple of powerhouses. bingogooberman Posted May 9, 2018 Report Share Posted May 9, 2018 this is such a crazy line up, my initial way-too-early thoughts below: 1. Marcus 2. Cedar Park 3. Hendrickson 4. Round Rock 5. Dripping Springs 6. Waxahachie 7. Westwood 8. Keller Central 9. Wakeland 10. North Shore with Cypress Falls as the most likely replacement for any of these. Also, is that Frisco Centennial? That would be a surprising choice as their director isn't very keen on BOA (he was my director in HS). If so, they're an outside threat for finals. Marcus and Hendrickson will both be under new head directors and Cedar Park has a new assistant director. So it will definitely be an interesting year to watch how all of these groups change.
