We had 5 this year. Our band marches about 150. I'm not sure if that includes JV or not. Anyway, this year was only 5 and two will be gone next year but we should be getting about 5 freshman next year. The largest number of incoming freshman ever.

I was one of two. Then she quit so I'm the only sophomore horn. Then there's two seniors, a junior, and a freshman. My sixth grade class had like fifteen horns. It reduced by about ten by seventh grade. Now, I'm the only one left from the original class.

This year we marched 12 out of the total 12 people in our section. And the only way we got a 12th was from a person who converted from the clarinet.

That's an interesting conversion. Is that person doing well with the conversion?

i love the sound of a full mello line. no matter how many it is, if they are together, i love it. the mello sound makes me want to switch instruments. but the directors wont let me.

I love a great mellophone line, but when they aren't great it makes me cringe.

I think that's the way it is with French Horns in general. I've also noticed that all the French Horns that I've been in band with have either been really good or really bad.

I am a senior horn player at Cedar Park and this year we are marchin 11 of 12 since one of our own is a drum major. Oh by the way, we have had 12 horns since my freshman year -_-

Last year our section was really good with 5 horns going to region and 3 to area with the next 2 as alternates; and this year we hope to send our top 4 horns to area.
