Ninelets Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Would be kind of nice if there were 30 qualifying bands. I'd say odds are a little better this year, we really need just one of Humble, Eisenhower, or MacArthur to do it. BrassMomof2 1 Quote
meow127 Posted October 8 Posted October 8 is it true that only four bands from this area will be taken to state ?? i’ve heard from most that it will be four but i’ve also heard it’s five so now i’m unsure Quote

We have to wait until after Regional before we can know for certain that 4 or 5 can advance. meow127 1 Quote

BandKid08 Posted October 14 Author Posted October 14 Someone please correct me if I’m wrong but 30 qualifying bands would result in 12 finalist bands, correct? Quote

If 30 bands qualify for area, then the top 12 bands from prelims would advance to finals--and the top 6 bands from area finals would advance to state. If only 29 bands qualify for area, then the top 10 bands from prelims would advance to finals--and the top 5 bands from area finals would advance to state. gods hornline and BandKid08 2 Quote
Popular Post gee5 Posted October 15 Popular Post Posted October 15 Aldine, CE King, Nimitz, and Westfield have looked interesting and have had some interesting results. Could they make finals? Eh, but they could definitely make some noise. I do feel bad for those Aldine ISD and Spring ISD schools though, their bands keep getting smaller and smaller. Popular Post Sanif Posted October 15 Popular Post Posted October 15 A lot of the bands from this area are seeing some significant improvements over the past few years and it’s definitely going to be interesting to see which bands make state. This area is becoming a bloodbath relative to the skill of all the programs in this area. That 5th or 6th state spot is going to be heavily contested. Ninelets, BandKid08 and gee5 3 Quote

Tomball Memorial H.S. 6. Klein Cain H.S. 7. Grand Oaks H.S. 8. Spring H.S. 9. Oak Ridge H.S. 10. Tomball H.S. 11. Klein H.S. 12. Klein Collins H.S. Ninelets 1 Quote
Sanif Posted October 16 Posted October 16 My predictions 1. The woodlands 2. College Park 3. North Shore 4. Tomball Memorial 5. Klein Oak 6. Tomball 7. Klein Cain 8. Spring 9. Oak ridge 10. Klein Collins Bubble bands: Grand Oaks, Klein Collins, Klein, and maybe new caney, or Westfield. Honestly I really think 10-6 are pretty interchangeable and 2-5 feel pretty interchangeable too.
